Joe Biden and Barack Obama have an assault rifle with a 30 round magazine pointed at the temples of Congress, the Senate, and America.
They have decided that, to achieve the same gun control that only twenty years ago required the consent of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, all they need to do is issue some Imperial Decrees.
This Emperor Obama has decided to simply NOT CONSULT and NOT INVOLVE both of the Houses of government, the House of Congress and the Senate, and unilaterally impose rules that only 20 years ago required consent of both of them.
They state that Executive Orders can now take the place of the normal legislative process. They state that there is no need for a Bill to make its way from from the House, to the Senate, to the President's Desk.
There are two things happening here: 1) The imposition of draconian gun control that only TWENTY YEARS AGO required a Bill, and 2) The complete removal of the House of Congress and the Senate from this -- and subseqently, ALL -- decision making processes.
This completely upend the American process of legislating. If they succeed, all the educational books outlining the American process of legislating need to be discarded, since from that point forward, Congress and the Senate become completely excluded from the process. At that point, all that is needed is a Imperial Decree in the form of an Executive Order.
If Obama succeeds on this very treacherous new path, he will have effectively overthrown the government, and Congress and the Senate might as well simply adjourn forever. They will no longer truly have any point to existing afterwards.
This cannot stand. There can be only one solution. THIS MAN MUST BE IMPEACHED AND CONVICTED AND REMOVED FROM OFFICE. Even the *liberals* in the Senate understand POWER, and they should understand that -- should this brazen effort to upend the Constitution succeed -- their importance and their position of power will be completely liquidated. This is America at its exact moment of being overthrown. If they do not vote to convict, after the House impeaches, they will have no power any more.
THIS IS THE IMPEACHMENT MOMENT.
I agree with all points, Laz, but Obama has a trump card up his sleeve. No one will challenge him. The House and Senate continue to cower in fear of this man. They may grumble and complain and protest, but no one will risk the legacy of being labeled a racist for actually attempting to impeach and convict the first black president, no matter what outrageousness he dictates by fiat. With this weapon, he can act with impunity, time and time again. His skin color trumps all.

I haven’t missed the point at all - I am well aware of the increasing violations of the Constitution by politicians in all branches. My point, however, is that we cannot allow the other side to frame the debate. Protecting one’s self and loved ones with firearms that are protected under the 2nd Amendment is cream on the cake - the cake itself is the right to defend our liberties. Everyone knows this, but many do not wish to discuss it (especially those on the Left, who want to control society). Ditto for hunting - a nice side benefit, but not the reason for an Amendment to the Constitution.
Framed in the proper way, this debate goes our way. Framed by our opponents, we lose (because how reasonable is it, really, to use a 30-round mag for hunting or even self-defense?). We’ll get buried by the propaganda of the other side if we allow this.

He has the power to write executive orders for the executive branch - he is their boss. He writes an executive order to Homeland Securitiy and the ATF and the FBI and orders them to outlaw various rifles, handguns, magazines, ammo, do security checks on personal sales of weapons, register all firearms, etc.., to protect the general public.
How much of this he will really do I don’t know, but he will do some of it with an executive order.

I am a bit relieved to know it is in fact still Friday today and not really Monday the 14th when this diatribe was written cause I’ve been spraying lacquer without my mask on and even though you think you are thinking like a normal person sometimes you really aren’t. And I hate it when I misplace entire weekends.
It won’t be too long before the only people who are armed in these United States are the Red Chinese. So why worry?
Which brings up a philosophical question:
If the reporter and editor who disclosed the names and addresses of registered gun owners got shot, who would be blamed?
Who would benefit by having even more corpses to use to justify gun confiscation?
Mind you, I’m NOT saying that the same government that schlepped full auto weapons across the border in hopes that some of them would come back across, be used to murder Americans, and those dead Americans be used to promote American gun confiscation would murder a few domestic newsies to promote gun confiscation. I did not say that.
I did not say that the guy in the white house who is best buds with Bill Ayers who advocated murdering 25,000,000 Americans wouldn’t bat a eye at forwarding that agenda over the dead bodies of a few media types.
Nor would I even hint that a guy who watched an American Ambassador be sodomized, tortured and killed over a 7 hour period via DroneCam, without lifting a finger, except perhaps, to munch more popcorn would allow a “false flag” operation to forward his agenda.

As I travel and talk to people I am struck by their fucus of just how many problems they engender in their lives day to day.
They simply don’t have the time to spend on the bigger issues.
But if you have the time, or if they have the time, to listen, they have a (little bit ) of a different attitude when you give them something other than a soundbite. I can link that.
