I posted this on another thread today:

http://www.austinchronicle.com/blogs/news/2012-09-14/ut-bomb-threat-update/

Remember back in September when so many universities had bomb threats? Remember how fast the campuses were searched and declared safe? From link to Univ. of Texas in Austin bomb threat:

8:35am: UT received a phone call from a man who claimed he was affiliated with al-Qaeda and that he had placed bombs throughout the school’s campus that would go off in 90 minutes.

9:53am: UT sent a text alert to students, faculty, and staff, urging them to evacuate all buildings on campus.

10:25am: The university announced via its Twitter account that all buildings were being checked and cleared...

11:38am Latest from UT. Classes are canceled for today, but buildings will re-open at noon, and all other campus activities will resume at 5pm.

12:11pm Powers now holding press conference... working with city, state and federal authorities, and have now determined that they are “extremely confident that the campus is safe.”

The UT campus is HUGE, yet it only took 2-3 hours for LE to search all the nooks and crannies to determine it safe??? I saw the ongoing coverage that day and students were standing around the stadium and soccer field right by the campus security building but no LE told them to move out of the area. The road is a “T” with the stadium, field and security building all at the intersection.

If the the bomb was going to go off in 90 minutes, why wait until 12 minutes of the big BOOM! before sending out a text to evacuate?

I was yelling at the tv that day because none of it made any sense. There was a rash of threats for several days back then and everyone chalked it up to copy cats. However, with all lies surrounding CT, I’m betting these were set ups or whatever. They certainly weren’t bonafide training drills or the real thing because the evacuation would have been more immediate and it would have taken LE days to declare the campus safe. Sure, get the sheeple in a tizzy over all these faked incidents and they’ll be begging the government to take their guns away from them.

How many public shootings in a relatively compact timeframe before I’m convinced that we are somehow defying probability?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two things to know.
1. These are copy-cat crimes. Brain damaged mentally unstable individuals are to blame. Not the gubmint. Having said that....
2. “Never let a good crisis go to waste.”
“Crazy! That is absolutely paranoid, conspiratorial CRAZY!”
It's a little less crazy when considered in clinical terms.
The rabid left and CPUSA have been working to take over the U.S. for years (and their propaganda has been so good they don't even always need a coordinated effort...they all think alike...they are part of the collective).
For them to be successful in the overthrow of the country, they must disarm it. Period!
The ONLY way to disarm it is to create a stream of events that turn public opinion against gun owners and gun ownership.
Now what does any sane person believe would be required to accomplish that?
As far as some of the poo-poo artists on FR are concerned, there can never ever ever ever ever be a conspiracy.
Copy cats. The dems don’t have to murder children. Just elevate awareness, keep it in the news and there are plenty of crazies to do their dirty work for them.
Just the other day, while driving home, I was thinking, Why are all the nut cases coming out all at once?
For the gun grabbers, events are unfolding in ways that seem just a little to good to be true, randomly true.
CA....
I like the United Way conspiracy theory, they opened up a fund for the shooting victims days before the shooting, proved by a date on an internet webpage of theirs which is rock hard evidence.
So they must have been involved.
There is no rising rate of mass shootings.
Yes, there is mass hysteria, and sometimes FR readers have it too.
There is no conspiracy. There are a lot of copycat mental cases who see the news and the attention given to the murderers, and say “I’ll show em.”
The government is opportunistic but they don’t plan and plot these things.
However, it took only 2 planes on 9/11. At that point, I knew something was up.
Oh yeah, 911, an "inside job." Oy.
Article asks a few good questions but leans too strong on the conspiracy side of things.
Some of the (original) commenters are whacked too.
****In other words, my gun-grabbing government NEEDS gun incidents and anti-gun hysterics to remain in the spotlight in the media****
I still remember when California prepared a gun ban list, then set it aside. They then released seven time inmate of mental institutions, Pat Purdy onto the Public.
Allowed him to buy a handgun in Cali, even passed the waiting period.
Then bought a rifle in Oregon, went to the Stockton School yard and opened fire.
Then the anti-gun bill was quickly brought out and passed before the blood was even dry in the school yard.
When Do Too Many Mass Murder Shootings Defy Probability and Bring Out the Conspiracy Theorists?
Knowing what we know about Fast and Furious...I'm already there.
SIGNS SIGNS, CLUES CLUES, if you see a “lit” fuse, you know something is up. You see “camouflage” or “tactical” clothing where it does not belong, be wary, say something to somebody. People with cockeyed fantasies display a pattern of sort, they are abnormal, either downscale or upscale, extra introverted or extra extroverted. Their eyes are a dead giveaway. Hoarding, cruelty, survivalist, deep end, sadistic, overreaction, unconcern and uncommon interests. All of these are “keys” to a social misfit or a genius.
You have to separate the crazies (Gabby Giffords shooting, Aurora movie shooting, Newtown school shooting) from isolated emotional retaliation shootings (high school kids whose girlfriends leave them or another boy steals the girl).
I'm thinking that today's Taft high school shooting is of the latter kind, that is, a kid lost control and shot a rival. I've posted previously that I think today's schoolchildren don't know how to deal with their growing emotions. As they reach adolescence, instead of giving them outlets for their hormones, the schools drug them into submission until after their teen years and then wake them up again once they graduate. They are not equipped to manage their emotions after that.
The MSM will likely try to take ANY shooting and make it a mass shooting if more than 1 person is shot.
One wonders (from Wiki - underlines mine):
"Port Arthur Massacre (Tasmania, Australia) - The Port Arthur massacre of 28 April 1996 was a killing spree in which 35 people were killed and 23 wounded, mainly at the historic Port Arthur prison colony, a popular tourist site in south-eastern Tasmania, Australia. the massacre, were reviewed and tightened significantly after the incident.
The Port Arthur massacre remains one of the deadliest shootings worldwide committed by a single person. Gun control laws in Australia, which had been relatively lenient before the massacre, were reviewed and tightened significantly after the incident.
After the shootings, it emerged that the shooter, Martin Bryant, had significant intellectual disabilities.
The devil is far better at coordinating “conspiracies” than evil men in a board room. There is a place in the heart that can only be filled by God. When men reject God something fills that space, whether those men admit to the existence of that something or not.
Once a society is brimming with pragmatic as well as literal atheists the devil has no trouble coordinating his plans using these dupes. It doesn’t take any human conscious thought or coordination. But it’s a conspiracy nonetheless.
The devil is afoot.
No matter how this current crisis turns out the devil will use it to maximum effect.
