Go Irish!
Let’s go, Bama.
Roll Tide!
BTW..this game is but a tune up for the really BIG game at the start of next season, this coming Sept..Bama gets a rematch with Aggies, this time at Kyle Field. That will be an awesome game..
This was one of the few games I was looking forward to but I don’t think I will be able to watch it.
It is on ESPN and the few ESPN channels I get do not have it listed.
I agree. If nothing else I gotta root for the underdog.
If any Notre Dame fans are ready to pay up I'll make the same bet on tonight's game! Not really expecting it to cost me anything!
BTW...first come, first served on that bet.
That’s odd. It is on the flagship ESPN station, starting at 8 pm ET /7 pm CT / 6 pm MT / 5 pm PT, with kick-off at the bottom of the hour.
I grew up in Buffalo, NY. There are no college football teams in NYS, because for years the state of NY did not allow athletic scholarships. So Syracuse was the only team, and as an Irish Catholic I could not support the Orangemen. So I became a Notre Dame fan at an early age.
Being a Notre Dame fan and a Buffalo Bills fan has not been easy.
Go Irish!
If you have any ESPN channels then you have “the” espn.
ROLL TIDE!!!!!
I just ran through all the channels and it doesn’t show any ESPN but I am sure I sometimes see various games on it.
According to my cable schedule, it is on the ‘regular’ ESPN channel.
Depending on your provider, it may also be streamed on WatchESPN.com, if you get that.
Well remember this, this Catholic says “Roll Tide” and AL is the home of one Catholic cable tv network called EWTN.
If you call your TV provider (Cable, phone, or satellite), they should be able to point you to the right channel. If you just get your TV over the air, then you probably won’t get the game.
Lets Go IRISH!!!!
Alabama has scored 65 TDs this year.
Notre Dame has scored 36 TDs this year.
Alabama has scored 41 TDs in 57 Drives into the RedZone.
Notre Dame has scored 27 TDs in 58 Drives into the RedZone.
Alabama has scored 24 “Big Play” TDs (TDs Greater than 20 yards).
Notre Dame has scored 9 “Big Play” TDs (TDs Greater than 20 yards).
Alabama has allowed 27 drives into the Red Zone. (2.07 per game)
Notre Dame has allowed 33 drives into the Red Zone. (2.75 per game)
Alabama has allowed 17 Total Scores (TD or FG) in the RedZone.
Notre Dame has allowed 21 Total Scores (TD or FG) in the RedZone.
Alabama is #1 in 1st Downs Defense (13.54 per game)
Notre Dame is 6th in 1st Downs Defense (16.08 per game)
Alabama has shown the ability to score TDs MUCH more easily than Notre Dame.
Alabama has shown itself to be HARDER to drive the football on than Notre Dame has.
Notre Dame has only one, ONE, thing they have shown to be better than Bama, and that is TD scoring in the RedZone. That translated itself into the .3 ppg Scoring Defense edge they have on us. Overall, our defense is statistically better than NDs.
Offensively, we are much better, much more able to make big plays than Notre Dame.
We bring our A-Game. We Win. It is that simple.
Roll Tide!!
I agree, Alabama is the stronger team but you never know what is going to happen until the game is played.
I think Alabama’s offensive strength is running...so I went to youtube and looked up highlights from Lacey and Yeldon...lots of them.
I also think their defensive weakness is their secondary...so I went to youtube to up Golson’s highlights. There were none. All the Notre Dame highlights were running plays and defensive plays with their Heisman candidate. But no passing play highlights - none.
If Notre Dame can’t exploit Bama’s only weakness (long passes), then they can’t win.
Saban is going to run. Then he is going to run some more. Then he’ll put another back in...and run again. And he’ll sprinkle in some passes. He will try to control the tempo of the game as well as field position.
Notre Dame will try to run - and discover they can’t. Golson will try to pass, and just three and out.
I think this could get ugly.

Gig ‘em Tide!
Go Irish! Those SEC backers can “suck it”!
I ma just hoping it is not a blowout at halftime.
:>)
150 minutes . . .
Its the Catholics vs. the Cousins
Just a hunble prediction: “Bama” 48 - Notre Dame 10. ND won’t get a first down in the first half and their only touchdown will come in the fourth quarter. Fortunately there is no money bet on this prediction :)
Better to ask on this thread than any other: is there anything good on TV tonight?
I like that! I think Aggies are definitely pulling for ‘Bama.
My son will get to go to the Aggie vs ‘Bama game next year. He’s class of 2016. I’m class of ‘i84, but I live in California. I’ve been so jealous of my son. He gets to go to fun games and tailgate with my friends!
Gig ‘em!
Would you prefer Pachyderms vs Pedophiles? I think not. Slandering an entire fanbase is not what these two programs are about.
Hope neither side has any injuries.
ROLL TIDE ! !
This Catholic says, “Roll Tide!”
You can watch Alex Jones debate Piers Morgan at 9pm on CNN.
But Jesus loves Notre Dame.
Thanks! I’m an Aggie and my siblings went to Alabama. I got bragging rights this year, so figured it couldn’t hurt to pull for the Tide tonight.
“We bring our A-Game. We Win. It is that simple.”
We? WE? Are you on the Alabama staff?
Roll Tide!
(who could shame notre shame better than they shamed themselves, but nevertheless roll)
Bama fans are part of the team. Coach Saban says. The Bama fight song says. Roll Tide!
> “I agree, Alabama is the stronger team but you never know what is going to happen until the game is played.” <<
.
Hey, this is the NCAA, and the officials decide the outcome of the game with their inane imaginary penalty system, like the “pass interferance” called against ArkState in the end zone when the Kunt State receiver wasn’t even near the ball or touched.
The Makerel Snappers vs. The Possem Poppers.
>> “ is there anything good on TV tonight?” <<
.
Only if Notre Shame gets shamed again.
I will predict 23-13 for Alabama but I will root for Notre Dame.
