I caught the tail end of a local DC-area radio program last week (Thursday) and I'm pretty sure I heard one of the representatives from the Nation's Gun Show say that they would no longer allow the sale of "assault weapons" at their show in Chantilly, VA. Can anyone verify this? If this is true, I have attended my last Nation's Gun Show.
Or more likely there are none to sell?
Salesman of the year(again), zer0bama helped all manufacturers sell OUT
Close friend is a VA FFL and was there, but he had sold out of all AR’s the week before. Sold almost everything he had at the show, had empty table at tend.
He’s away on a hunting trip after the best fall ever and I’ll ask him tomorrow when he is back.
I know of a pre Clinton ban AR Colt in cosmolene that the owner is not a gun person and will eventually sell. Wonder what I can get it for. Or if I will eventually have to declare it here in ‘on the cusp’ of draconian laws NYS. Right now only post ban mags are illegal
Can anyone verify that the Nation’s Gun Show will not allow vendors to sell “assault weapons” in the future?
Here’s the website - http://thenationsgunshow.com/ I think you misunderstood the news report. This is Virginia. Don’t mess with our guns!!! Give me liberty or give me death!
Don’t see anything about it restrictions on AR’s. There’s a gun show in Roanoke, VA this weekend, and according to a friend, AR’s aren’t selling quite as fast as they were 2 or 3 weeks ago at Salem. The reason? Prices are waaaaaaaaaaay up. I may run by this afternoon to look around.
A bit of trivia:
The president of C&E Gun Shows is married to the president of Showmasters Gun Shows.
I went to the NW ARK one yesterday. People were bringing in more “assault” rifles than anything else. I didn’t see a whole lot of money change hands though. I took a Norinco AK and got people interested but no offers/buyers.
That is a good picture, a good quote for the day, and Hell will freeze over before Obama ever says this.

It can be considered a trueism that one can never have too many guns.
But at this time I am concentrating on a supply of ammo and reloading components.
Pretty guns revert to little more than clubs without fodder.
Which show? I listen to Chris Plante every morning and even the replays on the weekends and I don’t remember this. I tried to go to that show but it was wayyyyy to crowded.
Additionally at the site http://thenationsgunshow.com/ click on the contact us link at the left and ask.
Still waiting for my reply.....it is Sunday after all.

Sticking to the standard doctrine that a firearm must have autofire capability to be an ‘assault weapon’ the Gun Show in question has NEVER sold any ‘assauylt weapons’.
Now that there is a good one. Maybe they’re not redneck enough to fall under the “clinger” banner. You want stone age, we’ll give ya stone age. Well, probably not so much any more since we’re kinder and gentler now. Maybe we should just use airsoft ar’s.
I did a cursory look around yesterday for ammo and ouch! It’s pretty hard to find a lot of calibers right now. Maybe DHS will share some of theirs. Maybe no.

If someone had a pre-ban Type 56S Norinco AK semi-auto, with a full kit (5 orginal new mags, mag pouch, bayonet, etc.)....in NEVER FIRED condition, it would be worth a lot, wouldn’t it?
“Sticking to the standard doctrine that a firearm must have autofire capability to be an assault weapon the Gun Show in question has NEVER sold any assauylt weapons.”
Since there are no standard editorial marks to indicate sarcasm or irony, I used quotes around “assault weapons” in my original post.
Let see, you heard it from the press? What press? It is Virginia. It is legal to sell semi-auto guns in VA at gun shows. What do you believe? I live 2 miles from the gun show. This is the biggest crap I have heard all day.
Use “( / s)” at the end ~ standard FR sort of thing ~ means “end sarcasm”
