Here are some interesting statistics from today's Chicago Tribune regarding the 500 murders that have happened in Chicago:
As of this past Thursday, 500 people were murdered in the city of Chicago.
83% of those murdered in Chicago last year had criminal records. Many of them FELONS who'd served prison time. (415.)
60% of those murdered in Chicago had known gang affiliations and multiple arrests and convictions. (300)
2% of those murdered in Chicago were kids under 10 years of age. (10 kids.)
Is this the "Chicago" that Obama referred to last week when he said the city represents the "best of America?" Gang bangers and convicted criminals killing each other? The ones I feel sorry for are the 10 innocent children stuck in that crap-hole called Obama's Chicago.

I could not find it in the 'free' version of the online edition.
Nonetheless, the stats above are taken from the article.
Article was full page, Section 1, P. 16.
Well, it seems Illinois has started it’s own form of Capital Punishment. They outlawed the regular kind, I guess it works if they all just kill each other.
If one factors out 4 particular neighborhoods Chicago becomes one of the safest cities in America.
Austin
Pullman
Lawndale
Englewood.
Just sayin’.
The link doesn’t work.
If you factor out Harlem and the South Bronx,New York City becomes as safe as the typical small Nebraska town.
It sounds like Chicago hasn’t changed much since the ‘20s.
But as soon as the subject returns to gun control it'll be back to '500 innocent youths dead due to gun violence'.
All four of these ‘hoods are located in obamaland, two on the southside and two on the westside. The northside, has some trouble spots as well, but the real kill zones are south and west. Gee whiz, when will the gun control freaks pass laws to control all this mayhem, oh wait, they did, 30 years ago. Oh well, Happy New Year, at least 2013’s murder rate wont’ be as high as it was in the 70’s, when it was approaching 800-900 a year. Progress.

Harlem
South Bronx
And what do all those places have in common? They all begin with a capital letter. Oh yeah... you'd better believe I'm picking up on that dog whistle.

And the race of murderers and the murdered?
There are crime ridden neighborhoods not listed because they are not murder qualified. Humboldt park,Grand Crossing,Brighton Park,Craigin,Uptown,Rogers Park,Lakeview are a few of the disintegrated Chicago once ,used to be,
great neighborhoods.
Don’t let the Tribune mislead you. The city has become Detroit. In the early 1960’s Chicago had 3.2 Million population, today it’s less than 2.6M.
They aren’t fooling me, my friend. I live 35 miles west of downtown and am in the city frequently on business.
And IF my father had given birth to me he’d be my mother.
2 were white? What the murder rate does not reveal are the great number of shootings at least a 30:1 ratio of those shot to those dead.
The great advances in trauma care have no doubt saved many of
those shot who 10 yrs ago would have become a statistic.
Declare war on crips and bloods with orders to shoot on sight.
Add in capital punishment for all drug smugglers and human traffickers and deport all illegals in our prisons and their families.
Also, white collar crime that defrauds the pubic is automatic 25 years with no chance of parole.
That gets rid of 99% of Americas crime.
You forgot Congress....
Haha... I love IPad spellcheck.
