If one factors out 4 particular neighborhoods Chicago becomes one of the safest cities in America.
Austin
Pullman
Lawndale
Englewood.
Just sayin’.
If you factor out Harlem and the South Bronx,New York City becomes as safe as the typical small Nebraska town.
All four of these ‘hoods are located in obamaland, two on the southside and two on the westside. The northside, has some trouble spots as well, but the real kill zones are south and west. Gee whiz, when will the gun control freaks pass laws to control all this mayhem, oh wait, they did, 30 years ago. Oh well, Happy New Year, at least 2013’s murder rate wont’ be as high as it was in the 70’s, when it was approaching 800-900 a year. Progress.

And what do all those places have in common? They all begin with a capital letter. Oh yeah... you'd better believe I'm picking up on that dog whistle.

There are crime ridden neighborhoods not listed because they are not murder qualified. Humboldt park,Grand Crossing,Brighton Park,Craigin,Uptown,Rogers Park,Lakeview are a few of the disintegrated Chicago once ,used to be,
great neighborhoods.
Don’t let the Tribune mislead you. The city has become Detroit. In the early 1960’s Chicago had 3.2 Million population, today it’s less than 2.6M.
And IF my father had given birth to me he’d be my mother.
If you’d seen today’s Chicago Tribune, Section 1, P. 16 you’d know that what you said is TRUE!
