The NRA ia purportedly putting on 8K new members a day. If the congresscritters were getting calls from 8,000 constituents a day telling them that a vote for any sort of ‘gun control’ (confiscation, weapons bans, smaller clips, ammunition restrictions, and anything else the Left can think up, etc.) is a vote to go home ..... ‘gun control’ will quickly wither on the vine.

I hope the dumb asses who voted for that jerk realize that a liberal is a liberal - even if he does campaign with a gun in his hand.

David Gregory (he who sends his kids to a school with 11 security guards) repeatedly asked LaPierre if the NRA's influence was waning after the Newtown shooting.

Here's his answer. And it's far mor than the NRA - it is the steel-eyed determination of gun owners to protect the right to self-defense.

He's a Democrat.

Democrats lie.

That's what they do.

From the comments...

The Second Amendment was not included in the
Constitution to protect hunters or target shooters.
The founders wanted to guarantee
that America would always have a WELL ARMED CITIZENRY.

If you want to argue that it is talking about the militia,
who was the militia?
Tenche Cox, Pennsylvanian delegate to the
Continental Congress tells us:

“The militia of these free commonwealths,
entitled and accustomed to their arms,
when compared with any possible army,
must be tremendous and irresistible.
Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves?
Is it feared, then, that we shall turn
our arms each man against his own bosom.
Congress have no power to disarm
the militia. Their swords,
and every other terrible implement of the soldier,
are the birth-right of an American …
the unlimited power of the sword is not in
the hands of either the federal or state governments,
but, where I trust in God
it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”

Senator Joe Foo Manchu should be targeted by the NRA and West Virginia patriots his next election.

It's criminal that senators have 6 year terms. The peoples' say-so to their own senators is severely limited when terms are that long.

I don't know when Foo Manchu is up again, sad to say I think his 6 years are ahead of him.
