If you think its been horrifying to watch ObamaCare pop open like a jack-in-the-box filled with tax increases over the last couple of weeks, just wait until the huge new taxes on health insurance companies hit in 2014. A study commissioned by Americas Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) lays out the details:
The [Affordable Care Act] imposes a new sales tax on health insurance that starts at $8 billion in 2014, increases to $14.3 billion in 2018, and will continue to increase each year. The Joint Committee on Taxation estimates that the health insurance tax will exceed $100 billion over the next ten years.
With full implementation of the ACA a year away, the focus needs to be on making coverage more affordable, said AHIP President and CEO Karen Ignagni. Taxing health insurance will have the opposite effect by making it more expensive.

I don’t know about you, but I trust my government to make things more affordable and more plentiful. Every enterprise they run is the low-cost provider, has the very best customer service, and assures customer satisfaction. Why, just look at the repeat customer business the IRS gets!
Then there’s John Glenn’s comment: “I felt about as good as anybody would, sitting in a capsule on top of a rocket that were both built by the lowest bidder.”
My secondary just increased an additional $38 a month.
Merry Christmas!
Time for a grassroots protest.
80% of tax returns are filled electronically, probably to speed refunds. We should begin the protest by filing through the USPS, five business days before the deadline. Professionals who do returns for the public have to E-file. I have thought about selecting an IRS return location and mail the protest returns to these addresses. Caution this may be illegal.
