Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns called both the current secessionist movement and elements of the Tea Party racist during an interview late last month on NBC's "Meet the Press."
The award-winning filmmaker doubled down on those accusations during an interview with Breitbart News.
Burns is currently promoting "The Central Park Five," a documentary detailing how five innocent teens were convicted of a horrific rape which shocked the Big Apple back in 1989.
The filmmaker, who works primarily on projects for PBS, says there wouldn't be a birther movement with a President Joe Biden in the White House. Burns then turned his attention to the Tea Party, saying a friend who attended a Tea Party event told him "almost every one she met there invoked the 'n-word'" about the president, he recalls.
That friend isn't the only one hearing that racial slur of late, he alleges.
"I have heard in last four years the 'N-word' used more often than in the rest of my life," the 59-year-old filmmaker says, adding Obama's detractors routinely call the president "un-American," the "other" and a Muslim.

Ken Burns is lying. At not point EVER have I heard anything remotely racist at a tea party event. Ken Burns is an assh0le, and a relic. His 15 minutes ended years ago. He had one great work and has lived off that reputation since. I am done with anything he is involved with.

1.) Prove the increase of the use of the word is due to the TEA party and not because of the rap culture

Seriously, the Tea Party was virtually invisible during the 2012 election or at least it maintained a very low profile. Yet since the election the vitriol against the Tea Party has once again increased in the media. Harry Reid has made some negative Tea Party comments in recent days. Many of the media pundits have commented on the need for the GOP to purge the Tea Party. Now Ken Burns is playing the race card and trying to tar the Tea Party as racist when anyone who knows about the Tea Party knows it isn’t about race. Can it be Obama and the Democrats fear a resurgent Tea Party?
Boycott the twirps productions......PBS is a non starter on the TV.

Ken Burns who’s work is not good enough to get investers makes sure to cement his bonifiedes to insure the “rich’ pay their fair share of his costs through PBS.
I have only been to three Tea Party events but have never heard the N-word used. To be honest, I can’t think of the last time I heard a white person use it; it seems to be exclusively a black thing.
