Iron Dome coproduction would benefit not only the U.S.-Israel bilateral relationship, by lowering the cost per unit for both countries and promoting closer integration within the alliance, but could be expected to provide a boost to the American economy.
A boost to the American economy?
Obama will kill it.
I thought it was an off chute of the U.S. Patriot Missile System.
A missile defense system that works? How did demRATS allow that one to slip by.
There’s this psychotic tendency to claim Israeli inventions and products as really American.
Very weird, delusional and arrogant.
No! No other nations except Israel is expected to endure constant bombardment of their cities by terrorists. Other nations will do a "Dresden", "Hamburg" or "Tokoy". Problem solved!
PS. Yesterday Syria/Assad bombed a hospital in Aleppo - 40 killed. Have we seen the long-haired, shawl covered demonstrators out in force on our streets?
“Have we seen the long-haired, shawl covered demonstrators out in force on our streets?”
Well, of course we haven’t. They are all inside smoking their medical marijuana and buying beer and cigarettes with their SNAP cards.
Pathetic that America no longer represents Life, Liberty and Property around the world, but instead represents Death, Oppression and Fascism. Our president no longer mourns the deaths of innocents.
Obama to the Israelis:
You didn’t make that.
You didn’t fire that.
You didn’t score a success rate with that.
You mothball it, then I can really screw you over...
At $60K a pop.
And rockets cost around $1000.
Iran and Russia have been going to school for the past few weeks and are preparing ways to thwart Iron Dome.
“And rockets cost around $1000.”
Plus shipping. Ever try to smuggle a rocket into a territory that is constantly being watched by drones. Certainly doable, if you break them into parts, and do a little at a time, and then you have to assemble them.
Hamas will run out of rockets well before Israel runs out of resources to shoot them down - you can bank on that.
Israel needs to enable the auto-counter battery fire feature, and leave it turned on.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

American acquisition of Iron Dome technology is "inevitable,"
As inevitable as a missle defence system in Poland and the Czech Republic

Taiwan and South Korea could use something like that too.
Seoul being within range of a lot of North Korean crap would seem like an obvious place to deploy

A lot of US technology has gone into Israeli planes. That’s just a start.
However, the writer of the article is not anti Israeli or even a jingoistic American; he’s a salesman for the technology. He thinks the best market for it is in the USA. Notice his remarks about Afghanistan? The Taliban have not fired one rocket anywhere in that theater. there is likely a bait and switch going on. the israelis are world class businessmen. no need to worry about them losing on any deal.
