Financially responsible immigration
If the public had any clue what the words “financially responsible” meant we wouldn’t be in this predicament.
Political correctness is simply an American way to deny the obvious and lie. There have been very significant negative consequences to the unrestricted immigration from non European countries. These people have not and will never assimilate. America has been transformed forever by “feel good, see we’re not racist” bizarre policy.
This is an easy one.
Our immigration laws should match the immigration laws as pertains to US citizens of the country of origin of the immigrant in question.
For example, if Mexico allows US citizens to live/work/own property, get free medical care, get free education etc in their country, then we reciprocate.
If not, not. It would be handled like a treaty between the USA and the other country in question.
First and foremost, we need to scuttle any ideas of “comprehensive immigration reform”, period, no matter what that phrase means to various people.
There is absolutely no point in trying to figure out how to deal with he tens of millions of illegals already here until we stop the influx. Until the borders are secure, no plan, offered by any side to the debate, has a chance of working.
Grand, universal solutions simply don’t work. Isolate the most urgent problem, address it, and only then move to the next most urgent problem. With illegal immigration, that most urgent issue is securing the border.
