sorry, buddy. i live in massachusets and as soon as that is a possibility the mass state legeslator will change the law to allow deval patrick to appoint the senator. they’ve already changed it twice. of course they outsmarted themselves last time because when romney was governor they changed it so he couldnt appoint one, they just didnt expect the tub of lard kennedy to drop dead so soon.
The guy that wrote “The Ameteur”, Edward Klein (a democrat), I believe is the same person who wrote a book about Hillary, “The Truth About Hillary”. He was the Consulting attorney for Congress during the watergate impeachment process of Nixon. At the end of his book, he said, “Hillary Clinton is the most deceiptful person I’ve ever known. Knowing about that statement, I do not trust anything she says or does.
Hillary was part of Klein’s group of attorneys. She did some really awful stuff to Klein while she was in that group.

They keep changing the law. As I recall, when Kennedy did us all a favor and died, the democrats had changed the appointment law when Romney was governor so that a governor COULD NOT make an interim appointment. Then they changed the law so that he could. So he’s going to have to make an interim appointment until a special election can be held.

If Biden is, indeed, having serious health problems, he will not be in any shape to do much of anything in the next four years, let alone any time after that.
Whatever he is able to do now, he will become less and less capable as time goes by.

The Democrats that run the MA GOP are probably going to try and run DLiteful Charlie Baker against the real democratic candidate for senator. Per usual, they will have their asses handed to them.
My guess is, if the MA GOP braintrust is running true to form, they’ll try and run Baker again in 14. I don’t see Brown making a run.

Only the President has such authority. Military/CIA can ready all the troops and have them in place .. but unless the Pres gives the CBA - the troops have no authority to move. It’s technically - a “stand down”.

Obama has a grand caliphate on-going strategy to manage. Needs a cool hand like John Kerry to orchestrate the brotherhood, al-queda, the Turks, Syrians, Palestinians, Saudis, Iranians, Jordan, Egyptians and Russia’s best efforts in annilating Israel . Weapons and money need a low profile manager capable of independent thinking.

I met Kerry once (not a shake the hand thing, actually talked with him for a few minutes). He is an empty suit with a lot of money. Everyone I heard him talk to was told what they wanted to hear, despite him saying exact opposite to someone a minute before. How this man can have such an office is astounding as well as disappointing.
BTW, if he gets Sec State, I bet he will make another run for the White House.
I hear he got a Purple Heart.
