ABC News' George Stephanopoulos talks what President Obama's re-election means for the country on "World News" with Diane Sawyer.
DIANE SAWYER, ABC NEWS: So give me your bottom line on the Republicans now. We talked about the soul-searching, what do they do next?
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: Soul-searching, perhaps a civil war. You've got to look at this party right now. They have won the popular vote only once since 1988, in the presidential race. And it was probably best summed up by Al Cardenas, the head of the American Conservative Union (ACU). He said the party is too old, too white and too male. They lost young women, single women by almost 40 points, Hispanics by almost 40 points, blacks by more than 80 points. This is a party that has to create a much bigger tent.

“He said the party is too old, too white and too male.”
Bull. Romney didn’t match McCain’s numbers. Those people didn’t vote for Obama, his numbers were way down. They stayed home. Stephi is playing the part of Concern Troll.
Is she still drunk?
WGAFF
They lost young women, single women by almost 40 points, Hispanics by almost 40 points, blacks by more than 80 points. This is a party that has to create a much bigger tent.
Create a bigger tent; Sellout to Jay-Z, Eva Longoria, Sandra Fluke and all the other Socialist Sheep who idolize the celebrity in the White Hut who uses a stolen birth certificate, a social security number issued in a state he never resided (CT), and a proven forged selective service card with a ‘80’ year instead of ‘1980’ year (as required by Federal Law at that time) within its date stamp.
CW-II is indeed possible.
And if bonehead Boehner tries more compromise, he just may be the start.
Ok
Young/Single women - free birth control and free abortions
Hispanics - Amnesty for all
Blacks - Reparations for slavery
And republicans would still lose.
RINOs do not win presidential elections.
utter rubbish. These people are below evil in that they have no class and delight in rubbing into open wounds. As Rush said today we have plenty of prominent blacks in the Republican Party and it's ignored. Romney had more minorities in his staff than Obama.
Dems have been successful in fictionalizing phoney images. Our side has been inept at exposing the lies and propaganda. we will get no where until we have warriors willing to expose these games
Then how did the Bush Brothers, father and son, win?
The only people to start a Civil war would be the actions of Obammy and his Marxist pals. In order to save the Constitution and individual freedom.....count me in.
I will never believe that Romney didn’t match McCain’s numbers. Maybe after the votes for Romney weren’t COUNTED he didn’t. We got screwed by fraud because of the fraud running against him.
“young ...single women by almost 40 points, Hispanics by almost 40 points, blacks by more than 80 points.”
All the usual suspects, IOW.
Big deal.
All those who want more for nothing.
It’s kind of hard to create a bigger tent when the other side’s VP accuses you of wanting to reinstate slavery and isn’t immediately laughed off the ticket by every “mainstream” news organization in the country. Not that it would matter. America’s blacks made the depth of their racism quite clear yesterday. Hispanics? Too many dropouts looking for gimmes. Single women? How exactly does the GOP reach the demographic who apparently either want infanticide on demand or are looking to use the state as a sugar daddy for themselves and their bastard babies? America may just be too dumbed-down for a party that tries to argue for principles of liberty and responsibility. We have degenerated as a nation.
Then how did the Bush Brothers, father and son, win?
MSM still smoking mary jane.
As Jim Geraghty summed up:
Just did this quick math of Obama’s margin in key states.
Virginia- 107,339
Ohio- 100,763
Florid- 47,493
Colorado- 111,094
Nevada- 66,379
Total= 433,068
In other words, convincing 1/10th of one percent of the American population to vote for fiscal rectitude would have changed the course of history.
Mandate my ass. And if you think this razor-thin margin will make Barack Obama more willing to cooperate with the 49.99% of Americans who voted against him, well, I’ve got some land on the Whitewater River in Arkansas I’d like to sell you.
MSM still pushing propaganda to make it appear that a “clear” majority wants BHO and his agenda.
This is a party that has to create a much bigger tent.

Im a big tent republican.

Heres an analogy to work with. Take a small box and fill it with some rocks. Then add some rice, filling it to the top. Now take all the same stuff, but in a different order. Put in the rice first, then add the rocks. What youll find is that if you put in the big stuff first, the small stuff will fit around it. But if you put in the small stuff first, the big stuff wont have room. The republican tent is the box. The Big issues are the socon issues, to be put in first. The little issues are things that can be accommodated around the bigger stuff. A candidate who tries to focus on the smaller issues first and leave out the bigger issues has no way of getting all of us into the tent. He splits the party. The candidate who gets the big stuff right and as much of the little stuff that will fit, he can fit more into the tent. Were often amazed at how much rice can keep fitting in. Folks such as Rudy or Romney flunk some of the big issues, and on some of the little issues it looks to me like anyone elses rice would do just as well. All that remains for us to agree on is which are the bedrock principles and which are not. Why would there be so much invective aimed at rudy or romney from the right? Because there are some bedrock principles that he is leaving out. Bad move. I see rudybot and romneybot postings all the time saying that they would vote for Hunter or Palin, and I see socon postings that say they would not vote for rudy or romney. Thats a BIG indicator of a few bedrock principles that are being left outside the tent in order to let in some rice.

The party is too RINO!
The party is too willing to take liberaltarians seriously
I’ve been saying it for years...
run a Mormon and 10-15% of the base WILL STAY HOME
this combined with a month long ‘voting cycle’, allowing the potheads to get around to voting, results in an overwhelming loss
Denocrat Stephanopoulis: “LET’S TO AND HIM FIGHT!” LOL!
Real spending cuts for real debt, real spending cuts for real taxes: a policy RINOs and conservatives can unite on.
