Christie: I campaigned harder than anyone for Romney
New York Post ^ | 6:22 PM, November 7, 2012 | By DAVID K. LI

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie -- Mitt Romney's surrogate-turned-President Obama fan -- bristled today at suggestions that his embrace of the Democratic incumbent cost Republicans the White House....

When asked what went wrong for Romney last night, Christie deadpanned: “He didn’t get enough votes.”

“I’m not a pundit, I’m an office holder,” Christie said.

He looked so pathetic schlumping along after Obama like the little wussy fat kid on the block.”

Might be the best analysis of the photo op lovefest between Christie & 0bama I read yet.

Bloomberg and Gov.Cuomo both turned down 0bama, they said they were too busy with the distaster relief - but Christie invites him.

I refuse to vote for Christie in our gubernatorial election next year...i will vote in the primary for any conservative should there be one running, but will not vote for Christie in the general...his treasonous act cannot be forgiven...and should not be rewarded with votes from conservatives...this state is so far gone that i really dont care if a Democrat beats him...i figure if he does win, he will be a candidate in 2016 so to defeat him now, may save us from Ann Coulter getting all breathless over him...

The electorate as proven Last night is stupid and short sighted so I believe that a lot of the overgrown children of NJ will look at Christie as doing a great job during the hurricane...however, after 10 days, many towns are still without power and many are in the more residential neighborhoods of Morris, Warren and Hunterdon Counties, i.e. Republican Country and they are pissed, not so much about the loss of power but for the fact that they think Christie is full of it and is really not managing the aftermath of the storm...so..given in a good year, Christie will only win by 3-4 points, this may be a problem for him...i am one vote less that he will have in 2013 than 2009...

The biggest problem here is that Christie let himself be used for such a horrible purpose. It seems to be apparent to everyone but Christie that he was used. If the only way to get anything from the federal government was to be used. Then what does that say. To make matters worse. Part of his reward was to meet and cry over meeting his far left liberal Musical wet dream.

I find it funny that even the godfather Como refused to fall for it and asked Obama not to come.

Campaigned harder then anyone else, huh???

Tell that to Rob Portman, who spent weeks on the road with Romney, including debate prep.

Or John Sununu, who was a fixture on both right and left news shows, taking the fight to the airwaves. How many pro-Romney interviews with the MSM did YOU conduct???

I saw the same results of exit polling. Christie's slobbering over obama, as opposed to the Bloomberg response, (No thanks, we're too busy, barack) did severe harm to the Romney cause. Christie's failure of judgment and self-restraint has done severe harm to the entire Nation for the next four years. Every one who cares about our future, such as it may be, should not forget what Christie did to us for the sake of his own tepid re-election campaign chances next Fall.

That was not the whole story on Romney. Religious bigotry played a significant role as well. But it defies reality to ignore an obvious contaminant in the operation.

I wish there was a like button for your post. It bears repeating:

“Chris, Chris, Chris, simply because you expended more calories just climbing the steps to the lecturn for the Republican Keynote Speech than anyone else including the candidate did during the entire campaign does not make one the “hardest worker” on the basis of anything but biophysics. And let’s face it buddy, it’s not like you actually had any choice if you ever wanted to address a national audience.
Everyone noted how you blathered on about yourself and said nearly nothing about your party, the party’s nominee, or the opposition. Everyone has heard the stories about your sub rosa criticisms of the VP selection process (”I wasn’t picked. Couldn’t have been very thorough.”) The whole country watched your effulgent grandstanding with the flailing standard bearer of the opposition party, despite the fact that he delivered NOTHING but promises. Everyone is noting how, even now, as FEMA thrashes cluelessly about with thousands of your freezing, hungry constituents wondering where the hell the relief they promised was, you have chosen to respond to your Republican critics rather than advocate for your citizens.

But most of all, we must thank you for your Chrissy Matthews’ moment as you blubbered over the trifling attention of your has-been, no-talent idol, “The Boss.” That bit of unrequited faggotry was the proverbial cherry on top of one of the most truly cringe-worthy performances in the history of American politics.

And it isn’t even the gubernatorial primary yet!”

Letting women vote was obviously a mistake.

Charitable. Letting women vote has been a documented catastrophe for western civilization. But that's a subject for a different thread.

At the risk of being flambeed, I agree.

The only people that mattered to Christie at that time (and rightly so) were the people of his state that were in desperate imediate need.

A virture of true conservitism I might add.

Romney's ship had a paper rudder and was sunk long before Sandy.
