1. Charity-I will give NOTHING except Tithes and offering through mo LOCAL Church ONLY(so sorry Salvation Army and the like). 2. I am IMMEDIATELY starting to down size. GET RID OF THE EXCESS AND JUNK! 3. I am going to learn how to do MORE things for myself. Do-It-Myself will become order of the day. 4. I am going to get serious in my Religious and Prayer life. Start a home Bible Study on a weeknight. 5. Put more time and effort into my home life. 6. Get DEAD serious on finding ways to shelter my Finances from Obama and his Zombie Government.
O and get back into good Physical Condition and get my Diabetes under control!
I feel our 401K will be threatened in the near future as our economy is on a verge of collaspe
Meet and make friends with like minded neighbors. You may need to pool your skills in the future.
I will not spend money on anything extra. I refuse to help the economy.
I will give only to my church and missions.
I will help my kids out rather than have my money sitting in the bank.
I will not support any companies that supported Obama.
As soon as the weather clears a bit, starting a small green house out of junk lumber we have around that is suitable. We have a few acres ..... chickens will be here in the spring ..... learning how to can fruits/vegetables/meat. My folks grew up on a farm and dad has been telling me about the Great Depression days so I have an idea what is coming. Those that are self-reliant & can take care of themselves will survive .... those that depend on the government, will not.
I wish you the best, but sadly, sheltering your money is only half of the equation. Not much we can do about the prices of necessities which are going to skyrocket.
Anything related to energy is going to skyrocket in price and decrease in availability. Everything from heating and cooling our homes to buying a loaf of bread is going to cost more and more.
Our 401K accounts will simply evaporate with four years of 20% inflation rates. It’s the Grand Plan to eviscerate evil successful people who have had the temerity to save for themselves and be independent of the government. The money is being stolen from us right before our very eyes — Trillion dollar annual deficits give the money to Obama’s people and the resulting accumulated debt leads to hyperinflation that steals the money from us.
How to protect ourselves financially? Gold? Real Estate? Solar stocks?
I have a question about the 401K. We are of the age where we must withdraw a certain amount every year. I am wondering if we should withdraw more than the minimum, especially this year, because there is a real possibility that taxes will go up starting next year. Any advice out there? Thank you.
I am done with “politics”. BUT! I am really into survival mode. So please, anyone with ping lists about these things or other web sites, groups, networks. Get in touch FR Mail me if you don’t want it out in public. Many Thanks!
I’ve been predicting that since ObamaCare passed. That is just too much “cash” doing nothing.
Look for the entire amount to be seized and converted to some type of government bond scheme as a “prop for SSA”. Pre-tax contributions and deductions -for anything- will go away, also.
I’ll be watching closely and end my contributions before the legislation in eneacted. It could possibly come as an add-on to ObamaCare; a stealth maneuver.
I hear you! I was recently diagnosed with Type 2...I've cut out cokes, red meat, and eating salad/veggies most meals. Getting more consistent with my exercising, too.
Good luck!
I will quit my job and go on welfare or disability and food stamps.
I’ve been supporting freeloaders since I was 16 years old; now it’s my turn to get a piece of Obama’s stash.

USN (not retired) Vet, I'm 65, retired, and I have lost 30 pounds, lowered my BP, and no longer need to take the diabetes meds from VA. I have another 20 to go, and my activity level, while making for lots of aches in forgotten places, has me feeling so much better.
Oh yeah, I am moving to the Philippines in January! Cheap, warm, and great people!

Sell them and purchase solar cells for your home. Take the 50%+ tax deduction and enjoy the savings in electrical usage costs. Do it before government programs go bankrupt!
gosh, everything I’d advise anyone to do would sound like I was prepping for something terrible to happen...
and, since NO one knows the day/hour, I’m just gonna keep doin things the way I’ve always done ‘em.
Remember loose lips sink ships!
Sounds like a good list.
Any “friends” that have leaned left or mushy moderates, and I have not been able to convince to vote conservatively, I will immediately dump. I’m sick and tired of dead weight.
