The America we knew is lost: self reliance, individualism, The ability to achieve the American Dream is lost! The reason why is very simple, The tipping point has been reached, too many people now depend on the goverment for their well being and will do nothing to stop the gravy train. They will vote democrat (socialist)every time now. If anyone tells me they voted for Obama, I will tell they they have destroyed the Country!

“So to say that our country is doomed because it’s led by the party of growth is wrong I think. The GOP is simply acting like a dinosaur.”

I reject everything you have said in this post. Obama and those leeches that voted for him are not representative of a future or growth.

You need to look outside of the MSM Pravada BS and look at the world a little closer. You want to see where this incredible debt and welfare system these pukes are going to push this country into looks like? Look no further than Europe and the third world turd holes.

You are living in an illusion. An illusion that was created years ago and brought to fruition by this fraud Obama.

The growth you think is so wonderful is a cancer...a cancer that is destroying the Constitution, our economy, our military and the United States.

Enjoy the fruits of this travesty...

Romney got close to 50 % of the vote. As of right now about 500,000 more votes for Obama in the popular. So the people have barely spoken. And if you took out the illegal foreigners voting, they might have spoken differently.

Lower your tax profiles as much as possible.

Internet purchases to reduce sales taxes.

Better, private sales for certain things.

Shop Goodwill and Salvation Army for gifts, small things. You can find really nice things sometimes.

Only buy new when it has to be. IE undergarments. And shoes. Toothbrushes.

Stock up on food you like when its on sale, and even more so if on sale and you have coupons. Buy generic if prices are better.

Learn to fix things yourself. Become more self reliant. Work like hell to change things locally. Don’t forget liberal judges need to go too.

Go galt and go guerilla conservative. Don’t waste any time on libtards. Get your concealed carry permits now.

Almost is not enough. This was as close as it will ever get.

Obama is a lousy president in a lousy economy. But he still pulls enough votes.

In 4 years it will only be worse.

There is no turning back. This was our last best chance.

We all need to discuss seriously the various ways we can “Go Galt.”

I would suggest an alternative, which is to form a global conservative mutual assistance society that exists to infiltrate business and steer opportunities to the membership. The nation in which a member resides would simply be considered their "current host country".

I tell you what, I am not on the hook for any of the debt. I didn’t authorize it and I am not in any contract to have to pay for it. Don’t care what they say. If they think they can collect that ain’t gonna work.

Takers see government as parent. Unwed women, adult children that have never had to grow up, groups that think they deserve the confiscated money of their fellow citizens.

Now we know. There is no silent majority, no groundswell, no Chik-Fil-A grassroots.

No, there's no silent majority eager to support a person who has demonstrated that when push comes to shove, he walks, talks and acts like a liberal. There's no groundswelling to lift up a guy who's legacy is gays calling themselves married in Massachusetts, RomneyCare abortions available for one and all, or if they held a candle's hope about supreme court nominations, they know the liberals that Mitt's nominated to the bench in Massachusetts.

I wonder, after this latest defeat, if Republicans might actually give conservatism a chance? Or will they tie themselves into the exit polling data - that's the biggest joke of all here. While Obama's done what he's pretty much done since being selected to be president - nothing - Mitt's the one who's actually done things for 'gay rights', the closest step any state took towards single payer health care... Ask a typical liberal drone, and they'll pass on the memes - Romney hates gays, wants to end abortion, blah, blah, blah.

I guess that was the overall problem here. Liberals voted against some fantasy opponent, conservatives couldn't muster up the urge to vote for who they got given as the nominee.

And before anyone tosses out this fantasy that some mystery majority selected Romney - bull. Open primaries in liberal states cut off any real chance of a conservative nominee gaining enough traction to get anywhere. IF we REALLY want a conservative nominee next time, we've got less than three years to change that primary schedule to one that favors a conservative, who will help weed out these liberals who keep getting anointed to be the 'nominee of choice.' We have less than two years to eject all the idiots Romney's brought on board as state chairmen, and replace them with those who support conservatives.

There's a huge amount of work ahead, and a tremendous amount of it at the grass roots local level, isolating the RINOs and bumping them out. Of getting those who actually work for a living, and begging them to give up their free time to help remake the Republican party back into something conservatives can be proud of.

It means sometimes taking a step forward ourselves and tossing our own names into the ring, even if it is for trumped up positions like 'water board member.' We have to end the hold the RINOs have on the party.

Because, in the end, a week from now, every RINO's going to be parroting Linsey Graham's words of ill-wisdom - it isn't a harder position that's going to shake out some of the 90% of the black vote, or the 60% of the Latino vote... Fantasyland. Chasing after a mirage - a RINO can't out liberal a liberal, but a conservative can actually offer a choice. Time and time again I heard even those with the briefest of attention spans for politics say 'there really isn't all that much of a choice between them.' Yeah, we got stuck with a liberal, who lost to a bigger liberal. Thankfully, it was against a damn lazy liberal - time we take advantage of it.

Nope. Going galt is just saying I am not going to enable you to walk down the path to insanity, you do it on your own. I can wait out the self-destruction of others. I can still do fine just associating with other Makers. When the Takers run out of stuff to take, if they get violent the state, or armed Maker citizens will deal with it.

All it’s about is not feeding the beast with your own resources. People find ways to make things work.

The pain will be unbearable and in 4 years the voters will truly be ready to embrace either conservative leadership again or else we will have war.

What makes you think these people are capable of learning from their cognitive errors? It’s going to end badly because these people don’t know how to take care of themselves or form any sort of civil society in the absence of external coercion because they lack internal restraints. It’s a question of learning how to avoid the worst of it.

Putin must be really happy tonight. Wait till Obama turns over all our defense systems to Putin—AND gives away all our sovereignty to the UN—the consequences of this election are just too horrible to contemplate. Better to not think about it at all—I’ll think about it tomorrow. Or maybe not—I feel a complete sense of mental termination with this country now incubating in my brain. It will truly be every man, woman, and child for themselves from now on.

There were no more votes for Romney or whatever alternative you would like to have had.

There was no person who voted Obama tonight that would have voted for your preferred more conservative candidate.

Your views and my views are the minority now. You can choose to accept it or delude yourself into thinking there is a conservative grassroots still out there that sat out this election and would have defeated Obama. Your choice.

This country is on a fixed course now.

He’s saying that as a demographic group, and he is correct. Of course he didn’t imply they have ALL women or hispanics, etc, but as a group they get the majority and so a broad brush generalization is correct.

Glad you are conservative though, I am sure you’ve influenced a bunch of people through your life.

It’s only ver if you stop trying to change the course or you die. Libs don’t ever give up, you should realize the fight keeps on, whether you win or lose, you keep fighting. Every day. That is what it takes.

In 4 years the economy will be in much worse shape then it is now. And the MSM wont be able to hide it. Assuming the country holds together, Obama and the Democrats will get all the blame. Not pinning my hopes on that though. The Republicans will nominate a third RINO in a row and lose their third race in a row. Hoping the Tea Party gets a candidate together. Would be some real change.

There were no more votes for Romney or whatever alternative you would like to have had.

Not according to Freepers who incorrectly blame voters for Gary Johnson...

There was no person who voted Obama tonight that would have voted for your preferred more conservative candidate.

Just a hundred million Americans who didn't bother to go to the ballot box...

But you've given up, so I bid you a good night, and hope that your prediction of dire darkness doesn't come true. Then again, there's always a choice - work towards bringing the like, or huddle and hope that someone else bothers to stand up and fix the problem.
