Not true. There were quite a few people with some conservative leanings that saw very little difference between Romney and Obama. And Obama's campaign ads actually had some conservatism principals in them (he was lying of course). He campaigned on killing Osama, Fixing the Deficits (which he blamed on Bush), Saving the Auto Industry, etc..

look at the numbers, 1/3 of this country voted -
100 million out of 300 million! My God, there is no great groundswell for barry and his bullcra*, there were those
who didn’t bother to get off their duff and vote!
The 1/2 that did vote in this pos are the idiot hard core losers who ARE outnumbered, our side failed miserably to
motivate votes - oh, and the criminal media should be shunned forevermore.

Even if Romney didn't practice social conservatism, he represented it to the other side. And the blind hatred directed at him by academia is unbelievable. One of my employees - a self-confessed low-information voter, and also a very nice, polite 21-year-old girl from a Catholic, military family, vehemently described Romney as a "sleazeball" on her Twitter feed this afternoon. She gets her political information from her college professors, with a side dish of Comedy Channel. she knows nothing about Mitt Romney - she is just repeating what she is told by authorities she has no reason not to believe.

After all, it isn't like the GOP has done anything to counter the venom being dispensed by these academic parasites, like the House zeroing out funding for the Department of Education.

Excuse me, but as one of the ‘other side’, you've got to be joking. The billions in debt that RomneyCare created, the huge increase in taxes it enacted, and his utterly unrealistic ‘Defense won't be touched’ promises are anything but representative of fiscal conservatism. Romney represented Romney, or rather Romney 18.0 as he shifted into yet another guise to try to gather voters.

Five years of straight campaigning in New Hampshire, and he couldn't even make it a close race. Though why an open primary north-east state should be anywhere near the early nomination process is a mystery to me. Seems virtually impossible to actually push a real conservative through that hurdle.

Yes indeed, my dear sister. I failed to note, in desiring to be brief, that God gives us the rulers we deserve, and this is actually another move of His judgment on our nation as we reject Him more and more every day.

Our hope is not here, but with Him. “Our citizenship is in heaven - FROM WHICH we eagerly await a Savior....” More and more it is clear our citizenship is not here.

A land chosen by God and blessed by Him more than any other has collectively given Him the finger. We are sowing what we have reaped. But this is only the beginning.

If the Marxist-in-chief manipulates himself into 12 more years, some time in his last two (of four) terms Christians will be openly persecuted.

But this is good. The true church thrives under persecution - for many reasons. It weeds out those who are in name only. It purifies, cleanses us from the vain. It drives us to the Lord for we have no where else to run. The true gospel of Jesus Christ will prosper as it always has under persecution.

So we who are His must lift our eyes to the heavens, and live like every day is our last. He is faithful and true and will never fail us.

God forgive us for looking to any man to save us.

… and would you believe there was at least one poster I read here today, bemoaning the fact that the Republican party isn’t doing enough to attract the “new Latinos” ???

Here’s how the ethnic blocks voted:
White 59% Romney
Black 93% Obama
Latino 71% Obama
Asian 73% Obama (interesting, even more solid for the dems than are Latinos!)

One thing I have thought of that gives me hope. We survived FDR and an openly Marxist Vice President.

That gives me hope that we may survive what we have today.

I woke up this morning thinking of the quote - "These are the times that try men's souls." Could not remember who said it but with google's help - it was Thomas Paine in 1776. Worth reading this paragraph -

It seems to me that FDR added to the socialistic elements that Wilson started and many of the socialist doctrines
that FDR began are still with us!
