(vanity) Grrr...Colin Powell plugging (advertisement) Obama on my classic rock radio station
today | self

Posted on 11/03/2012 9:33:36 AM PDT by dennisw

I can hear pro-Romney advertisements all day long on my local talk radio station but what does that tell me? Nothing. I also listen to 102.7FM classic rock out of Miami and Romney advertisements have dominated Obama ads by two to one ratio.

But in the last two days Colin Powell has been on in an advertisement boosting Obama. I run and shut off the radio, Can't strand this backstabbing puke who (in retrospect was just a careerist and not a Republican nor conservative) but was smart enough to keep his mouth shut and keep people guessing same as Obama. Never forget that Colin Powell and his flunkey Richard Armitage were behind the Valerie Plame fiasco and let the Bush administration twist in the wind while rabid Chrissy (MSNBC) and others frothed at the mouth for months over it. The day Armitage fessed up was the day tingly Chrissy stopped and never apologized at all for indicting everyone who worked for GW from Dick Cheney to Karl Rove to Scooter Libby

Obviously there are some Obama politicos who think those who listen to classic rock (over 50 and white) will be swayed by Colin Powell

"It’s hard to believe that Powell’s claim to fame, Operation Desert Storm was over 20 years ago."

I recently did a search for Norman Schwarzkopf to see what he was up to, and discovered he turned 78 in August. I turned 65 in August too, but it's hard to believe so much time has passed since we first heard his name.

This “honorable” man left “Scooter” Libby twisting in the wind to suffer for a “crime” he was not responsible for. It’s the same kind of person who would vote for someone like 0bama, and still call himself a Republican. The man is a disgrace.

Who is Colin Powell?

Powell is an affirmative action opportunist who will always allow race to trump reason. As Norman Schwarzkopf is quoted as telling a staff member in Riyadh in "The Generals' War", "Powell is a political genius ... but he lacks the stomach for war."

Also, lest we forget, Powell dropped the ball when he failed to support commanders requests for heavy armor and AC-130s in Somalia.

As a Desert Storm vet, I agree with Schwarzkopf 100%. Powell does not have "the stomach for war" and IMHO, we had to fight Gulf War II" with a smaller Army because of it. We should have been allowed to finish off the Iraqi army during Desert Storm.

It is only natural that African communists are going to support each other.
I wouldn’t let it bother me. Try to chill.

Actually, the Gipper put Powell on the RADAR when he selected him for the NSC and then allowed Carlucci - another 24k puke - to select him as his replacement as NSA. That was all an attempt at damage control following Iran-Contra.

You are correct, but he was Bush’s boy.

Powell’s endorsement was as a Republican, that is now long gone.

Colon Bowel is all over Discovery Channel and TVLand...about the only channels I watch nowadays.

I have to turn the channel every time I see his face.
