Barone: Going out on a limb: Romney beats Obama, handily (315 to 223)
The Washington Examiner ^ | 11/2/12 | Michael Barone

Posted on 11/03/2012 6:26:31 AM PDT by mazda77

Bottom line: Romney 315, Obama 223. That sounds high for Romney. But he could drop Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and still win the election. Fundamentals.

Michael Barone is not one to "go out on a limb and when I heard this last night, I was stunned. He is usually the one to not make an announcement unless he has virtual rock solid information to make a public statement.

Michael Barone knows American politics better than a lot of pollsters do and my view is he thinks their data is compromised by a turnout model that is skewed too much to the Democrats.

That won’t be the case on Tuesday. In 72 hours, we’ll find out if the voters agree with his prediction.

The most telling for me was Bill Cunningham last night on Hannity, he was claiming that Romney was going to win Ohio and it wouldn’t even be close. He said during the last weekend of 2008, when McCain had a campaign stop in Ohio they had a hard time getting 30 members of the public too show up and had to bus in campaign workers from around the state to fill the small venue. Last night Romney filled an arena with 30,000 and there were many more waiting outside that couldn’t even get in.

Romney had 100,000 at one event in Ohio.

It wont even be close.

Me too. The ‘you’re a super dooper dooper patriot!” segment. I lost count how many times they told each other that they are real American heroes. I was ready to heave.

Naw... Let them think what they want. It will be fun to hear their howls of pain and anguish next Wednesday.

With all due respect, we all know the reality of your statement but none more than Barone. I have watched him hold any predictions on election night coverages until he had the facts that made him comfortable with it. On some Fox news coverage, he was not willing to make a call even when the other networks had already done so. He is not loose with his reputation.

The reason I posted this was not for chest bumping, but for informational purposes as another thermometer of what the bloated oversampling of Dem polls have been telling us for months. Now we continue our cautious optimism buoyed by continuing reports like these that getting our nation back into the hands of real adults is strongly within reach.

3 More Days!

Yeah, but if it were that close, then the new Senate might give us Biden for VP!

As you probably know, the House vote is by state delegation, not by Representative.

Has anybody run the numbers to determine party affiliation of delegations? Some are probably tied R/D and might not even cast a vote.

Didn’t hear the radio show so I cannot answer to your question. All I know is this article was published yesterday as well and was also reported on Greta’s show last night. That is where I first heard it. I am also out in Vegas for work, not play (SEMA Show) and had no idea that Barry was in town until I was leaving the Convention Center the other evening and looked up to see AF1 leaving. That is just how isolated I have been while at the Show.

If one listens to Barone, you know just how reserved he is so maybe that came through in the interview but to have published this yesterday as well, he lays out what he thinks will happen.

Now it is back to Florida today and after a day off, back at it again but this time as a Poll Worker in Duval County. I am really looking forward to Wednesday morning to revitalize a new direction to my business with a new breeze in the sails.

This from an article on Ryan campaigning CO:

As for early voting in the state, the Colorado Secretary of State's office reports that over 1.3 million ballots have already been cast here. Of those, 457,337 are Democrats, 493, 457 are Republicans and 341,920 are from voters registered as "unaffiliated." The number of ballots cast so far is already more than half, 53.9 percent, of the total votes cast in 2008.

That means that Republicans are outnumbering Democrats by more than 3% in early voting and will probably outnumber them even more on Tuesday. And yet CO is a swing state? I wonder what the pollsters sampling numbers are for CO. I'd say CO is a lock from Romney but more importantly why are the pollsters counting it a battleground state? This really calls into question the sampling.

It was the same way here in 2008. “Polls were rigged” and “PUMAs are going to help us” and “the Bradley Effect will take hold and Obama will lose” and on and on.

Now it’s the leftists’ turn.

Although not scientific, another sign that the election is going Romney/Ryan:

Valeria Jarrett-”After we win this election, It’s our turn payback time’

Sounds like a Chavez communist mini-me, thrashing around and make threats out of desparation. United Van Lines is waiting for her call to move her out of DC and if that doesn’t work Orkin will have the pleasure of fumigating DC to rid her ilk.

We need an exterminator to clean DC of the communist and islamic infestation that has infested it over the past four years with parasites like Jarrett. Romney/Ryan are the exterminators.

I don’t understand all this revenge and pay back talk. Has BO not done everything he wants and had the press totally cover for all his corruption? Are they planning on getting revenge on the people that have exposed them during the campaign? Are they going to get revenge on Romney somehow? It’s all so hateful and un-American. Revenge on all Republicans? Revenge on Issa? Don’t get it? Very scary to me.

Reminds me of children who, when they don’t get their way, make threats and go out of their way to cause havoc against those they perceive as wronging them.

Or since Jarrett is an avowed communist her rant is the typical rant expected from a tyrant or dictator. After all she’s the wizard behind the curtain, not BHO, so her power will start to decline when Romney/Ryan win. And totally evaporate when the moving vans come for BHO and his family, as Romney/Ryan are sworn in in Jan 2013.

Plus BHO has waltzed through life, so far, without any reprecussions. Now facing reality that the emperor has no clothes, intellect nor platform he and his minions lash out at everything and anything they perceive as being against them aka The Chicago Way, even though it is a vapid statement from an egotistical politician.

Jarret ought to hold her tongue, because what she now says may come back to haunt her. I wouldn’t put it past her and BHO to alienate everyone in the demorat party as well. Never taking responsibility for their failures or losses.

A good book on this is “THE AMATEUR” by Edward Klein.

Her rantings show that she is not trustworthy and like a cobra one should keep more than an arm’s length away from her and her ilk.

It’s very childish-just like BO and the Mooch. We need adults in charge of the country that take the job as seriously as the job is. I pray as much as I think about Tuesday. BO doesn’t have anyone praying that he will win because his supporters probably don’t pray. We have that on our side.

I watched Bill Cunningham “The Great American” on Hannity last night. I don’t remember them discussing heros. Who were you talking about and why were you ready to throw up? Are you an MSNBC viewer that got your channel stuck on FOX NEWS for some reason?

Thank you.

My concern, though, is at another level. It is called cheating. The Kenyan is looking very self-assured, so I wonder what is in the works.

My next big concern is he is not legally president, and he is up for a second term anyway. Our congresscrooks refuse to point the finger at him because they are also a bunch of crooks, and they know darn well the WH crooks will point the finger back at congress naming names.

We were in a big fix the first time because Panama Juan, had he won, would also have been an illegal president too. He also has no morals and would have brought the country down only slower.

Thank you for your comments.

P.S.

If you have any additional comments/ideas about what I just wrote, I would like to hear from you.
