Romney ahead of Obama in Pennsylvania by Four Posted on November 2, 2012 by eriecogop

Susquehanna Polling and Research results for Pennsylvania released today shows Mitt Romney leading President Obama 49% to 45% among 1376 likely voters. Two percent are undecided and 3% are for other candidates.

In the same sample Republican Tom Smith leads Senator Casey by two percentage points in the race for the United States Senate seat from Pennsylvania. Smith is at 48% to Casey’s 46% according to this poll.

Diana Irey Vaughan (R) is tied with McCord at 45% each, David Freed(R) trails Kane by 45% to 47% and Maher(R) leads DePasuale 45% to 44%.

This poll shows the highly competitive nature of all statewide races where there are no highly favored candidates and it also reveals that Pennsylvania is definitely in play for both the presidential and senatorial races which will determine control of the direction of this nation between two differing visions on energy independence, education, international trade, balancing the budget and support for small businesses.

Susquehanna is the firm that first told Bill O'Reilly that they were pulling out of FLA, NC and VA

No, that was Suffolk. Susquehanna only polls PA as far as I know, hence why they're named after our river.

Oh so this is a right wing poll full of bad samples like PPP is for the left? Interesting they didn’t tell “us” what we wanted to hear in 2008...they had Obama winning.

It is true that Susquehanna Polling and Research do work for mostly Republicans but they have a 98% track record in predicting elections. Also, I believe they are using a D+6 sampling model in PA and that they did predict that Obama would beat McCain in 2008. So if they have Romney +4 at this point - well I’m feeling pretty good about that.

As Frank Barone would say: “Holy Crapping Crap!”

I’m trying to avoid getting carried away and setting myself up for a letdown. Any PA people here? Does this sound possible?

If it’s even close that tells me Dick Morris could be right about a 5+% Romney win. He actually said 5 - 10 percent.

Thanks for making my night. May have a tough time getting to sleep right away!

Hank

My niece goes to Marietta and her boyfriend is in that same school of Petroleum engineering.

I should ask him where he sits on the whole issue, my niece appears to be more lefty but who knows. I don’t really engage the young’uns though I am pleased my Ron Paul 18 year old (like myself) is nevertheless going to support Mitt here in Fla. I’ve convinced him that while getting the party more liberty minded is a great goal, the modern progressive is the real enemy.

Omg I saw that same look in Mitt’s eyes this morning. He looked very energized and his smile was a lot bigger than usual.

"If it’s even close that tells me Dick Morris could be right about a 5+% Romney win. He actually said 5 - 10 percent."

Morris backed off those comments this evening, stating that a sudden change in the polls had tightened up the race.

How about Rush’s headline today: Mitt Romney Looks and Sounds Like a Man About to Become President of the United States of America.

Dtaten Island (Richmond County) sometimes throws in behind the Republicans but they went Obama last time.

That's not correct. McCain/Palin beat Obama 52-47 on SI.

Don’t worry. If zero loses, he will leave a scorched earth behind.

Imagine him and the mooch in our White House scheming and sulking and planning “revenge”.

God help us.

This IS the old poll. Look at the numbers:

http://washingtonexaminer.com/poll-shows-romney-leading-in-blue-pennsylvania/article/2511153#.UJSV1MXuUcw

49% to 45% Romney Obama

48% Smith to 46% Casey

1,376 likely voters

The GOP page is showing the old poll. The date at the top just changes with every day, which made it LOOK like a new poll, but it isn’t.

So in 2008 Susquehanna correctly showed Obama ahead by 8 points in PA. Shows they are fair, and not pushing a narrative like other polls.

I trust this poll. I think Romney will win PA. Crappy McCain got 44%...Romney can definitely get a few more points than him.

Doesnt matter who predicts what or speculates over percentages. If Romney wins Ohio or Pennsylvania the election is over.

“If Pennsylvania announces for Romney/Smith early on Tuesday night, I won’t know whether to stay up and celebrate or go to bed early and get a good night’s sleep.”

I got a brick of budd, laced with Angel Dust that I’m sparking up in my bong, using bourbon for bong water. And I’m buying 8 pounds of gummy bears and a large container of KFC mashed potatoes for the munchies.

Kiss my white ass RATS!!!

This is actually the OLD poll that was in the field from Oct. 11 through Oct. 13. Notice the numbers:

Romney 49% Obama 45%

Smith 48% Casey 46%

1,376 likely voters

Notice the GOP page does not show the dates of the poll. But, the exact same results for both Romney/Obama and Smith/Casey as well as the exact same number of likely voters? Not likely. This is a reprint of that poll from 10/11 through 10/13.
