Romney ahead of Obama in Pennsylvania by Four Posted on November 2, 2012 by eriecogop

Susquehanna Polling and Research results for Pennsylvania released today shows Mitt Romney leading President Obama 49% to 45% among 1376 likely voters. Two percent are undecided and 3% are for other candidates.

In the same sample Republican Tom Smith leads Senator Casey by two percentage points in the race for the United States Senate seat from Pennsylvania. Smith is at 48% to Casey’s 46% according to this poll.

Diana Irey Vaughan (R) is tied with McCord at 45% each, David Freed(R) trails Kane by 45% to 47% and Maher(R) leads DePasuale 45% to 44%.

This poll shows the highly competitive nature of all statewide races where there are no highly favored candidates and it also reveals that Pennsylvania is definitely in play for both the presidential and senatorial races which will determine control of the direction of this nation between two differing visions on energy independence, education, international trade, balancing the budget and support for small businesses.

Yes, every election requires a large bottle of wine. That way you’re covered no matter the result!

Shady Brook Farms is about 10 minutes into PA from NJ...maybe 5 miles from Trenton...while Romney is doing this for PA, he will get a lot of people from NJ..as problems are somewhat less severe south of 95...

I’m wondering about NYC. What if a couple million normally dem voters just decide it’s not worth the bother? Could Romney actually win NY?

Look at this in the context of Obama’s campaign push in a state like Minnesota (Bill Clinton is making two appearances there this weekend)

Karl Rove pointed out on Fox News tonight that Obama will be making a stop in NW Wisconsin near the Minnesota border (same media market), and suggested that it may be a sign that he may be a little worried about MN.

If PA gets called early enough, I’m going to bed at a decent hour.

If PA is won by Romney, the election will be done between 10 and 11 pm (central time). The riots will begin maybe 20 - 30 minutes later.

Sleep well tonight. At this point in the campaign, I stop paying attention to polls and start watching the candidates. Mitt and Ann Romney looked positively stunning tonight. This was the look of a winning campaign. Remember that the best pollsters of all do not work at Gallup, Rasmussen and ABC/Washington Post, etc, but work for the campaigns themselves.

The Romney and Obama campaigns are shelling out tens of millions of dollars for the very best pollsters in the industry and we will never see those results as they are for the eyes of their clients only.

Does anybody even know where Obama campaigned today? He's fallen off the radar. Sure, he's going to get his 45% of the vote automatically (give or take a couple points). But the "magic" from 2008 is gone. Utterly gone.

You are to kind. I was thinking something along the line of tweezers and he can pull the hairs out one at a time until his mustache is all gone.

It’s going to be a great weekend. Trust me. Rake some leaves this weekend and watch some football. The heavy lifting has been done and all that remains is that every one of us gets out to vote by Tuesday night.

If you look at the best polls for Obama in Iowa he has lost about 6 percent, and he’s lost 5 in Minnesota since 2008. Now how come he hasn’t lost 5 points in Ohio according to the polls? I think he has.

Thank you! The kids in his program “get”’what Obama will do to the Marcellus and Utica shale formations (given 4 years)...regulated them OUT of business. PA, OH, and WV have enough natural gas and shale to make the US the world leader in fossil fuels. “F” (and I don’t mean frack!) OPEC!!! Obama’s EPA will DESTROY the industry—look what they have done to coal!

I got to participate in a townhall phone call with Mitt Romney today in PA. They only took so many questions and I didn’t get to ask one but I listened as he answered and he was very impressive.

Then NJ would have three NFL teams.

And, still, none of them would admit it.

I’ve had this sneaky feeling that Ohio would NOT be the key after all - that Obama’s team has let some other stuff slip away because they’ve been so Ohio focused. Be funny if they manage to steal Ohio, but lose anyway.

The most interesting + exiting thing about this for me - coming off the floor - is that (weeks ago) Susquehanna is the firm that first told Bill O'Reilly that they were pulling out of FLA, NC and VA because they were in the book for Romney and they wanted to focus on the new battlegrounds.

Barone pointed out that PA had not been inundated with "Romney killed a woman" etc. advertising and the suburban population is much greater than in Ohio.

GO R&R GO!

They give you results you want to see for your side.
Grain of salt folks, grain of salt.
Steady as she goes.
Anyone who saw Mitt and Ryan speak tonight knows that OH will make the right choice.

Clear eyes.
Full hearts.
Can’t Lose!
