With just four days to go before the elections, and Obama's media doing everything within their power to ignore the subject of Benghazi, Libya, you would think they'd also be turning a blind eye to disaster relief problems in areas hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy.
That's why I was shocked to see this headline at the Huffington Post a few hours ago: "Anger Grows In Outer NY Boroughs, NJ Over Sluggish Response To Sandy."
As you can see, the top of the Post's front page listed article after article of bad news from the region.
Not what you would expect from a publication devoted to the re-election of Barack Obama.
Barack Obama the "My Little Pony" of disaster relief.
I will NOT sit here and listen to any more of your heinous blasphemy!
If Christie believes Obama's going to lose then he's no longer dependent on Obama for $B in recovery funding. A Republican House, narrowly divided Senate and Republican President will be holding his state's fate in their hands. Too much to hope for I guess.
You have reinforced my thought dismissed as not really possible. I guess it is actually possible.
Then there is Governor Coumo. Where is he? Why is he not in Staten Island in his Bomber Jacket? He is ultimately responsible, not the Mayor. Bloomberg has intimidated the governor and the president
Shep demonstrated he lacked the mental stability to do the job of disaster reporting.
Wisely, Fox detailed battle hardened men into the field to provide reporting not colored by emotional breakdown
You’re right — it’s similar. It’s that mixture of entitlement mentality and resentment.
It’s a shame that the word “savage” has gone out of style.
“I’m sure we’ll all have to wait until hell freezes over to hear that. The hypocrisy is amazing, and yet it’s so prevalent that I can’t be amazed anymore. I have come to expect it.”
I definately do not want any “comedian” to blankly state obama hates White people the same way President Bush hated Black people following Katrina. Although in this obama’s case, I am quite certain it is very true. I just think such statements are very unproductive, and divisive.
“...I am quite certain it is very true. I just think such statements are very unproductive, and divisive.”
I agree 100 percent with that statement. I believe that Kanye West should have been shunned by the entertainment community and the democrats for saying what he did about President Bush during Katrina. He wasn’t, however. My point was not that I was rooting for some stupid white comedian to claim that Obama hates white people, but the fact that President Bush was held solely responsible for the Katrina response, while Obama is held accountable for nothing by that crowd.
I wish there was some sort of some sort of “career justice” Kanye West after his President remark.
Minnesota hey? I went to the U of Minnesota. I watched them lose to U of Michigan today. It was somewhat a random decision to go there though. I loved it though. I love the state as well. It is awesome.
Couldn't THE PEOPLE themselves had food, water, etc. They had plenty of time to prepare. They didn't.
It is so clear. Anybody who thinks the government is going to take care of them is a moron. Food, water, social security, health care, whatever.
I was born and raised in MN. The state is definitely beautiful. You generally don’t encounter the “Minnesota nice” behavior until you make it out of the Metro area.
I’m glad your experience here was positive! :-)
I'm talking about help for the folks who no longer have homes. Even if they did prepare, they've lost everything.
I'm also going by past experience from here in Texas. Shelters and supplies are set up - even in outlaying locations - BEFORE the hurricane hits.
