Mr. President, who let them die?
(Note: With the President due to campaign in Nashua today, his answer to our Editorial Page Director Andrew Cline's question, if he has one, would no doubt be of great interest to New Hampshire voters.)
Every time President Obama is asked why the U.S. embassy in Libya was denied its multiple requests for extra security at the Benghazi consulate before Sept. 11, he changes the subject. No wonder, as yesterday it was reported that not only were previous requests for extra security denied, but three additional requests on the night of the attack also were denied.
FOX News reported that the two former SEALS killed in the Benghazi raid had requested military support three times after reporting that the consulate was under attack. Their requests were denied by someone up the CIA chain of command. Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty rescued several personnel and recovered the body of diplomat Sean Smith from the consulate. At the CIA annex nearby, they came under mortar fire. Their request for a strike on the mortar site was denied. They were later killed by a mortar attack.
Who denied their request for assistance, and why? The families of those brave men deserve answers, as do the American people.
Wasn’t this the same Obama whose partisans complained about the minutes GWB supposedly wasted on “My Pet Goat” during the 9/11 attacks? Obama wasn’t even busy reading to kids; he hit the snooze button then later went off on his planned trip to Las Vegas and the View.

When Obama first spoke in the Rose Garden, and I watched, my first reaction was how disengaged he seemed and how emotionless he was. I posted about it, but was not surprised. Obama only shows emotion if someone is threatening or attaching him, personally. However, every time I watch the video again I am struck once more about his demeanor. He hardly looked at the cameras. He kept his head down, reading notes. His voice was low...even trailing off sometimes...and it was clear that he had no belief in what he was saying.
Besides the discussion that has been had about whether he attributed the attack to Terrorists or not, and the exact words he used, he does state that he "learned of the attack" (he does not call it a demonstration) - "last night" (before he went to bed) - and we all know he went to sleep - still, it is his demeanor that is telling. It seems as though Obama was just trying to get through a task that he found distasteful to him, that he didn't want to be bothered delivering the speech, and could not surmount any real feelings that would normally be expected. I knew then he was lying about or hiding something, but we had no idea how just how much.
Of course, his supporters will just say he was being "somber" and "respectful" but that is not what I saw. I saw a man who showed absolutely no depth of concern and could have been reading the printing on side of a box of cereal for the amount of interest he had in his words. Watch it again and pay attention to his delivery.
Gotta say Hi Tech if I’m anyone in that chain of command I would have ignored the stand down. Those f-ing dirt bags would be dead and most if not all of my people would be alive. Worst thing is I’m Court Martialed by some cowards and I don’t go to bed at night wishing I was a man.
obama is bereft of empathy. He can’t even give a good imitation of ‘concern’. He is the shallowest, most empty man I have ever seen. At least clinton could act.

IMO Amb. Stevens was meant to die. He was deep into the White House gun running that was another Fast & Furious, times ten. He knew too much. Was Obama, Axelrod, Hillary afraid he’d talk? Never forget Ron Brown and Vince Foster and a few others. It’s not healthy to be an insider with this gang.
I sure hope the Romney administration investigates this and prosecutes the former administration officials (if they aren’t pardoned). Not like Bush who swept Clinton stuff under the carpet and said let’s move on.

Romney will move forward as every new President does. If he digs up the dirt, the same will be done to the departing Republican administration the next time the Dems take power. It is the way of Washington.
Plus, consider the fact Romney has a number of complicated and politically polarizing issues to deal with that will consume considerable political capital and the goodwill of the people. Rolling back Obamacare, tax reform, and spending cuts will be fought by the media and te Democrats. He will have e big enough fight without also dealing with the potential the American people will perceive him as mean spirited for investigating and prosecuting Obama administration officials.

The major TV networks are ignoring this story, but now, as the local newspapers are printing it, the local TV stations will begin to carry it.
The story will overwhelm the abccbsnbccnn cabal and they will cover it if only to protect their own asses.

I wish all those attending his rallies would hold up signs asking this question. Since the MSM won’t ask, we the people must.
Unfortunately, the 0zombies and those paid to attend his rally’s won’t hold up signs or ever ask this question. And, if anyone protested outside of his rally, with signs asking “Who let them die?”, the MSM wouldn’t even cover it.

More than a month and a half later we are still waiting for someone on our side to claim responsibility for the failure to defend.

History shows once large organizations are corrupted it is nearly impossible to eliminate the corruption. In the private sector corrupt companies decline, go into bankruptcy, and are liquidated (Enron for example). Corrupt governments keep stealing resources from the population until the economy collapses or a war ensues. Ultimately the economy collapses, or the country is defeated, and the political structure is rebuilt from scratch (Germany and Japan after WWII, or Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union).
I’m convinced the two party political system in the US has become throughly corrupted at the state and federal level as well as most mid size to large size cities. The banking system, the education system, the legal system, and many large corporations are also corrupt. The interconnected web of corruption and entrenched special interests is too large and powerful to be reformed. It will take the collapse of the currency and the economy before the system will be reformed or we will submit to dictatorship.
Furthermore, the election of 2010 demonstrated both political parties are in collusion. The everyday law abiding citizens of the nation, troubled about the direction of the country, organized themselves via the Tea Party to have a substantial impact on the selection of candidates and outcome of the election. The entrenched elites of both parties, academia, and the media did everything in their power to disparage these citizens and thwart their efforts. Once the concerned citizens succeeded in electing a Republican majority in the House, the Republican leadership successfully undermined the Tea Party agenda and went back to big government spending in collusion with the Democrat administration and Senate leadership.
Romney is already talking publicly about working with Democrats in Congress. It will be more of the same if he is elected.
You had an ambassador and communication professional (Smith) who were guarded by the ‘February 17th Martyrs Brigade’.
Were they trafficking heavy arms to Syria? Probably. We’re they doing something hinky? Definitely.
Was what they were doing likely the province of the CIA? Most definitely.
Had people, including Stevens, raised alarm bells about the lack of security? Yup!
Was the CIA looking in on outright incompetence, while literally within earshot of rifle fire? Yes!
This all displays Obama’s ideology, long held paranoia and bias world view. I’m sure Obama and his people thought what Steven’s was doing was sexy, because it was risky. Of coarse, a leftist can’t trust the CIA, right? The CIA killed Che, Obama’s hero, Obama is the self styled Che of the new Islamic caliphate.

Stevens and Smith were expendable to Obama, but they weren’t expendable to Woods and Doherty.
Well for one thing I haven't read or heard anything about Gen Petraeus publicly saying the attack was over that dumb video clip. Granted that I haven't spent as much time of late on FR as I normally do so maybe I missed some article but still, I've haven't heard zero 'from him' or the CIA. It's all been from Obama, the State Dept and Leon Panetta.
Then given Gen Petraeus' military career and all the Command Posts in his years as an officer that he's had, including many in actual Combat, I would hardly say - even in the slightest - that the man is a 'Coward', nor a 'Liar'.

Now 'cowards', don't go into the Combat Arms like Infantry or Airborne and 'cowards' aren't awarded a Bronze Star with a V for VALOR during combat. And 'liars' don't earn a Ranger Tab.
As to the General being a 'democrat', nobody knows that, period. A Professional Soldier serves every POTUS no matter whom it is. And considering he graduated from West Point in 1974, becoming a Second Lieutenant in the US Army his first CIC was Richard M Nixon - soon to be followed by Gerald Ford. Then Carter, Reagan, Bush41, Clinton, Bush43, then Obama.
Okay you don't like him for serving under Obama, fine. But kindly don't slander an honorable Soldier. Call him a jackass, an asshat, or a jerk. But coward and liar? ... no.
