Well it does support the idea that soft principles, one way or another, means you have soft support.

I would remind everyone that the weekend prior to Scott defeating Marcia Coakley, he had Marcia up 4-5 points and was on local radio the day before the election saying it would take a “perfect storm” for Scott to be elected.
He ended up winning by 6 pts.
I can’t stand the fake indian and have hope Scotty B will prevail once again.

Oh bull... rasmussen had coakley over Brown by 5 on the afternoon before the election (on Sean's show along with zogby who agreed) and we all know how that turned out.

And Brown went on to win by 5%.

It's broken ~ due to the widespread proliferation of caller id as well as answering services nobody has to answer the phone any more unless they want to, and it appears that when it comes to pollsters we were down to 9% response levels last year.

The response rate has undoubtedly dropped even more and now an organized special interest group ~ e.g. GBLT, Abortionists and their customer base, or their friends among the Feminazis can easily appear to be far more powerful than they really are simply by answering the phone.

This is such a terrible situation for the pollsters they aren't even telling folks which way things are trending.

I am getting ready for a massive hurricane which will probably wipe MA away so this particular poll doesn't worry me in the slightest.

Seems credible.

I think Brown blew it by transforming from an independent conservative to a moderate Democrat. If the choice is between two Dems, the voters will go with the real thing.

Brown hammered home the out of control spending and Obamacare in 2010 to win by 5 points.

This time out he’s running on supporting Planned Parenthood, gays in the military and Dodd Frank vote.

” This Communist witch is going to be a nightmare in the Senate.”

Don’t think she plans on stopping there, either.

Look at the bright side. When she hits the Senate as a DemocRAT, she’ll FINALLY be a minority. Her dream will have come true.

Don’t panic. Probably another Dem +9 poll.

If so that would help Brown, since Mass is a D+25 state.

More proof that you just can’t fix stupid. I was born there. I thank my parents every day for having the wisdom to move to Arizona when I was a youngster.

Hey, that's my story!! Same thing with me - Boston area to Phoenix. LOL!

Excuse me, wasn’t Mass a D+25 state when Brown was elected?

Brown has actually done worse for himself by saying dumb stuff like he doesn’t care about voting with his party.

The scary thing is his campaign is being run by Romney's guys. Brown has run a horrible campaign. I am in the Boston TV market so I've watched it close up.

He was leading all summer, by running as an independent. But when things got close in the fall (during debates) and he panicked and moved to the left, saying things like you mentioned, and running ads supporting abortion, planned parenthood, votes for Dodd/Frank, etc. He may have scored soft Dems but he lost conservative independents.

It was. And that’s not the point.

Brown is trying to appeal to the Democrats when he will never win them.

Massachusetts is a Democrat state. But it has more independents than Democrats. That’s how Brown won. He ran as a socially moderate/fiscally conservative Republicans. That’s the only way to win in Mass as a Repub.

But this time around, he has not criticized Obama or the Democrats spending. Instead he’s running to work with Obama and Harry Reid. The Mass Indies do not approve of the out of control spending.

The only closing argument Brown can make is if he piviots to that of a fiscal hawk, like in 2010. Otherwise he will lose by 10 points.
