Or hijah could have been laying all over the pipe line to have ground spotter call in precision JDAMs to take them out, full well knowing the ramifications. There where just to damn many different groups of "fighters" involved in the Libyan escapade.
The frigen goon in the White House has caused the misery of so many Muslims world wide. And he says he stands with them.
The turmoil continues to increase as the spring skips summer and fall, and goes into a miserable winter for them.

"Perhaps are “smart” technology isn’t as advanced as we’d like to believe."
We have the best weapon delivery systems on the planet. Once the laser beam is placed on a little shit house a few miles away, and the pilot or aviator touches the pickle button, the JDAM's fly true. They don't go off course.

If munitions technology isn't the problem it must be that we just can't distinguish the biggest water project the world has ever seen from a jihadi camp or a weapons storage facility.

I watched some of the videos at the site. This will go no where. If NATO deliberately was bombing their water pipelines then so be it.
Obviously Puttie was having a field day with it. One could ask who's aircraft where responsible as well. Did US pilots and aviators participate. Did the French or Brits, or say the Saudi pilots do it.
It sure would be interesting to find out if the White House goon gave permission for US forces to be involved in it. That I would grant you.
For all I know there may have been a number of propaganda films generated that shade the truth of the matter. I'll let it go at that. Since I have not studied the issue in detail over time. No use getting into a long drawn out issue that may go no where in the end. No one made a fuss over the issue to gain national interest in it, from the US and NATO view point.
For any news it had gleaned in some quarters, it seems to have dropped out of favor.

I’ll be ducking out for dinner and some other things shortly, but will get back to you should you want to continue some thoughts on the issue you raised. I’m not in the position to argue pros and cons on that issue.

We, the U.S., sacked Libya for the stated reason of removing one man from power and no one cares. I will grant you that.

Fair enough. I would rather had seen the man with the green book stay in power. He was cooperating rather nicely during those last few years. Now we got yet another Muslim state going bananas. The Kenyan and his goons screwed the pooch.
I'm signing out in a few minutes to perform my din din mission assignments. :)

From post #124. A slight correction required.
Did the French or Brits, or say the Saudi Qatar pilots do it.
I just noticed my mistake. Needed correction as to not mislead any one.

Do we know exactly what happened to the ambassador? I don’t know that I buy this theory, but it does make more sense than what the administration has said.

What if:

-The goal was to kidnap every American at the compound, knowing they were sitting ducks?
-They didn’t mean to kill the ambassador, but accidentally killed him while trying to smoke him out of the safe room?
-The # of attackers indicates the intent to take everyone, not just Stevens?
-The missing weapons are in the mix?
-Part of the deal for the blind terrorist was for Egypt to keep him incarcerated? (Of course the brotherhood would release him soon after, but that’s on them. Obama would have acted in good faith.)
-The trade would have been for ~25 Americans and 50 very bad missiles for one old blind terrorist who would stay in jail?

The main criticism of the theory (other than “it’s guano craziness”) is that a trade would make Obama look weak. But maybe the trade was going to be too good to resist.

The desired result was the photo op of Obama and the hostages’ families greeting them on the runway as they returned. Obama the great negotiator.

We continue to get different scenarios voiced, written from many sources. I hesitate to shake hands on any one given thesis being offered up to now.

Your post is more believable today than when you posted it. I believed it possible then.

Thanks

REQUEST FOR MODERATOR!!!

With Col. Bristol due to testify on Wednesday, is there any way we can revive this post to reappear as a current post? This story broke in October 2012 and in hindsight, the puzzle pieces sure do fit now don't they..

Here's the YouTube video of the article:
