No, Obama Didn’t Call Benghazi “Act of Terror” in Speech (9/30)

“Well, first of all, Candy, as you know, the President called it an act of terror the day after it happened,” David Axelrod told CNN’s Candy Crowley this morning, referring to a speech Obama made in the Rose Garden on Sept. 12.

Axelrod’s claim has been pushed by journalists over the past few days, most notably Josh Gerstein at Politico, in a blog post headlined “Obama talked of Libya attack as ‘terror’ 2 weeks ago”:

If Obama wanted to call the Benghazi assault a terrorist attack in that speech, he had plenty of opportunities to do so. Instead, he described it as a “terrible act,” a “brutal” act, “senseless violence,” and called the attackers “killers,” not terrorists. It’s also important to consider the context. For a week after this speech, the White House would not call it a terrorist attack. The official position was that Libya was a spontaneous response to an anti-Islam film, not a premeditated or preplanned act.

Axelrod made this misleading statement to Crowley on September 30. Crowley should have debunked it then. And certainly should have had the facts by now.

Of course he did not. I knew the moment he claimed he had that he had not. A lie like that is so in character for hussein it didn’t even need research to prove. But I did, just for kicks. ;-)

So Obama knew it was a terror attack the very next day, yet he continued to promote a fake video. WHY? What did he know about that video and when did he know it? AND what did he expect to gain over that fake video.... IT was a fake video because the film maker told AP September 12, 2012 that he was an Israeli Jew under the name

Obama and his administration pumped and advertised this video at a level that would make any Hollywood producer green with envy. WHY??????

Axelrod made this misleading statement to Crowley on September 30...we shouldn't be trying to prove this was a "misleading statement" - I think Romnay was cleverly trying to get Obama to double down on his claim that he had referred to the attack as an act of terror the day after, because then it becomes clear that Rice lied on TV five days later, he lied at the UN two weeks later, and he and Hillary lied when they spent $70K on an ad to convince Pakistan the attack was a spontaneous mob action in responsse to some video nobody had seen.......

If he was thinking it was an act of terrorism, why would he say something to the effect that he didn’t believe in denigrating other people’s religion, but this act didn’t justify the violence?

Compared to the event at Andrews AFB, Zero at the UN, Susan or Rice on multiple talk shows, the Rose Garden speech was so obscure and the language "cited" so insignificant to Zero's speech, for Crowley to have expressed as much certitude in the position she took, she had to have prepared "the answer" in advance.

That means the fix was in. Her reputation will soon will be trashed.

How emblematic of this country it was to see a corpulent self-indulgent dishonest Jabba the Hut jabbing at Romney.

Romney had almost 4 minutes less time than King Obama, so it’s only fair that he has to push for more “access” to the mike.

And then I’d play her retraction, and admitting Romney was right.

If you watched it on Fox news, did you catch the part where the camera was on the timer while the foreign national was speaking and the time ran out? And it was totally ignored, he just kept going on and on and on for what seemed like another 2 minutes and this Crowley said absolutely nada. Then Romney spoke for about a minute until the foreign national stood up and interrupted him. My mother went absolutely nuts over that.
