Jones is either an independent kook fringe flame thrower, or he’s a covert Obama operative on standby for when Obama needs some sort of cover or narrative.
Think of this: Obama could very well have had intel that these protests were coming. Knowing the thrust of these protests was anti-America, Obama’s strategerists needed a scapegoat so that Obama wouldn’t be cast as the military opponent of the leftist jihadists when he was forced by politics to appear to oppose them. Because to be the opponent of leftist jihadists is to be positioned, in the geopolitics of the day, as a right wing war monger. This would have thrown a wrench into Obama’s campaign strategy.
This would also explain the very strange action by General Dempsey—the General is also covering for Obama, making it seem as though the administration doesn’t like what Jones did.
The other way to make it more complex is to undertand that Obama is simply stupid.

I’ve heard a lot of things said about Obama, including that he’s not as smart as many once thought.
But I’ve never heard the theory that his behind the scenes handlers are anything but highly skilled deceivers and schemers.
Some of them like that Sibelius woman are just flat out insane ~ if she weren't in office she'd be picked up on the streets for observation.

You make good points. For clarification, I’m not saying the Alinsky-Piven-Axelrod contingent are as competent as they think themselves. But I wouldn’t put it past them to have fake scapegoats and all sorts of activists on standby, ready to trigger some calculated event but meanwhile oblivious to the inevitability that their plots are all destined to sputter and collapse in the face of what is ultimately a deficit of intellect on their part.
Did you notice their little test case called Occupy Wall Street is gone this summer?
The probable cause is they ran out of money ~ and the loose change they collected went directly into the pockets of the slicks who put on the shows.
