That, IMO, is why Islam is fatally flawed and can never be reformed from within. Muhammad is considered the prophet and holy messenger of Allah by all who practice Islam. To condemn any of those acts as wrong, much less mortal sins, is to risk being branded a blasphemer. No matter how big a percentage of Muslims might want to condemn those acts and bring Islam into the civilized world all it takes is one mullah to point to the prophet's life and actions and condemn them all as blasphemers to wipe out all of their good intentions. There is no recourse within Islam to that accusation.

US general grade officers have no business calling any private citizen and asking him or her to do something political.
Screw the rags! And their nutless apologists, too. Who put these losers in positions of authority, anyway? The next - and FINAL - Crusade is long overdue, but it will be nuclear-powered. Western civilization needs to act preemptively, however, before the rags can do us harm on a national scale.
