White House Disavows Cairo Apology (Free Republic broke embassy apology story)
Politico ^ | Tuesday, September 11, 2012 | Byron Tau

The White House is disavowing a statement from their own Cairo embassy that apologized for anti-Muslim activity in the United States.

"The statement by Embassy Cairo was not cleared by Washington and does not reflect the views of the United States government," a senior administration official told POLITICO.

The U.S. embassy in Cairo put out a statement early Tuesday that apologized for an anti-Muslim film being circulated by an Israeli-American real estate developer.

"The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions," the embassy said in a statement published online.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the film depicts the Muslim prophet Muhammed as a "womanizer, pedophile and fraud" — depiction bound to offend many Muslims.

The embassy came under widespread criticism for failing to defend free speech in the face of threats of violence. Egyptian protesters rioted anyway, breaching the embassy walls and tearing down the American flag.

"Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet. The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. Our commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear: There is never any justification for violent acts of this kind," Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a Tuesday statement.

I’m not certain of the pedophile details but certainly Muhammed was a womanizer and a fraud because duh to non muslims it’s obvious he was not God’s prophet.

And I believe I have the right to say that and to defend myself with force against anyone who would stop me from saying it.

Wasn’t there a movie years ago that portrayed Jesus having an affair with a woman? I don’t recall any government buildings being attacked then.

The Politico story failed to include the entire Embassy press release leaving out the part about abusing the universal right of free speech. Here is the entire release for anyone who has not seen it:

U.S. Embassy Condemns Religious Incitement

September 11, 2012

The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others

Why should Americans curtail an inalienable right enshrined in the Constitution to placate a mob that violated our Embassy and destroyed our property? Their actions are in no way legitimized or justified because a private US citizen exercised the right of free speech. The mob demands that the movie be confiscated and never shown again.

We should be condemning the mob, not the "abuse" of free speech.

Of course Obama is mad. The message wasn't apologetic enough for him.

Here’s my version of the Shahada.

There is no god named Allah and Mohammed is his false prophet.

Having myself just retired this year from the Department of State, I can just about tell you without doubt that Obama personally approved (in advance) the approximate wording of his personally appointed Ambassador.

It is sad that the Obama administration does not understand the reality of Islam and it's hostility towards the Christian West. It is a war between religons. Today, on 9-11 the religous nature which our Govt has worked to dispell is evident.

Imagine a Christian minister exhorting his flock and those of the faith to kill Muslims for their God today, and you will then see clearly what our Govt denies.

The Eyptian Embassy is one of the largest diplomatic missions anywhere in the world.

I would say God help them, but this Administration has put Gays over God in Foreign Service, so maybe f'em is more appropriate since that is what the Obama Admin is doing to the foreign service by engineering the Muzzie Brotherhood and Hezzie takeover of the Mid-East.

The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others.

...except when it comes to abortion, birth control, whether God should be recognized in party platforms or whether Israel can practice self-determination.

The Da Vinci Code was one of the biggest books and movies in recent years. It portrays Christ as being married and fathering children.

I didn’t read the book or see the movie, but I didn’t riot over it either.

The Mahdi will invade all the places between East and West.

The Army Of Black Flags
The Mahdi’s ascendancy to power is said to be preceded by an army from the east who will be carrying black flags or banners of war. Sheikh Kabbani states:

Hadith indicate that black flags coming from the area of Khorasan will signify the appearance of the Mahdi is nigh. Khorasan is in todays Iran, and some scholars have said that this hadith means when the black flags appear from Central Asia, i.e. in the direction of Khorasan, then the appearance of the Mahdi is imminent.
Another tradition states that:

The Messenger of Allah said: The black banners will come from the East and their hearts will be as firm as iron. Whoever hears of them should join them and give allegiance, even if it means crawling across snow.

Our commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation.

Would that it were so, Mrs. Clinton. The notin of early America as a place of model religious tolerance is the product of myth. Protestant sects fought bitterly amongst themselves inter and intra colonies. America was a hotbed of virulant anti-Catholicism--most especially in the colonial period. Things get better following the ratification of the Constitution, but it would take many years before America begins to truly live out her "commitment to religious tolerance."

Craven national suicide as express American foreign policy ...

Incredible.
