One group in particular stands out in its decline in support for President Obama. Oddly enough, the major media are ignoring this startling finding. Jonathan Tobin writes in Commentary Contentions:
President Obama may be enjoying a slight, if likely temporary, bounce in the polls this week. But one of the surveys showing him with a lead in a tight race over Mitt Romney also provides a breakdown of the data that confirms predictions that he is losing up to a quarter of the Jewish votes he got in 2008. The Investors Business Daily/Christian Science Monitor/TIPP Poll gives a breakdown of religion along with other demographic groups and shows Obama leading among Jews by a margin of 59 to 35 percent with six percent undecided. While that is still a majority it is a dramatic decline from the 78 percent of the Jewish vote he got four years ago.
Obama has a 46-44 percent lead over Romney in the TIPP poll. That means Obama is suffering from a decline in support throughout the electorate from his 2008 victory when he won 53 percent of the vote. But the president's loss of approximately 25 percent of Jewish voters this year is not matched by a similar decline in any other demographic group. [snip]
the TIPP poll shows him threatening to rival Ronald Reagan's modern record set in 1980 when he won 39 percent of Jewish votes, the most ever by Republican since World War One. [emphases added]
As Tobin points out, while Jews account for a small percentage of the national vote, it is concentrated in Florida, a key swing state, and could be significant in Ohio and Pennsylvania, if they are close.

Jewish voters are 2% of the electorate which typically break 70%-30% for the jackass party. A loss of 25% of 70% of 2% is 0.35% nationally, but would be magnified significantly in states like Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and even Nevada where Jewish voters are more than 2% of the electorate.
Obama should be down 100%.

(God And Jerusalem Back In Democrat Platform Almighty And Israel Must Be So Relieved ):
Obamas antipathy to Israel compliments his affinity for Islam and disdain for Christianity and Judaism.
The president has spent the past three and a half-years downplaying Americas Judeo-Christian roots, including absurdly asserting that America is not (or no longer is) a Christian nation. By working to de-Christianize America, Obama is also trying to undercut Israels strongest base of support in this country white evangelical Christians.
DSouza writes that if hes reelected, Obama will no longer be content with backing the Palestinians over Gaza and the West Bank, but will seek to delegitimize the Jewish state, using South Africas apartheid regime as a model.
In so doing, perhaps he can force Israel to grant a right of return with full voting rights to Palestinian refugees. If that happens, then in relatively short order, the Muslims would outnumber the Jews, with obvious political consequences. An Obama second term could be fatal for the future of Israel.
I live in a heavily Jewish suburban township in the Philly suburbs. And the number of Obama signs is WAY down from 2008 (there were even Obama yard signs in Hebrew). It’s still early, but what I am seeing is consistent with this polling.
“Obama will no longer be content with backing the Palestinians over Gaza and the West Bank, but will seek to delegitimize the Jewish state, using South Africas apartheid regime as a model.”
Indeed. This is already the liberal talking point.
Maybe that little stunt at the convention(booing God and Jerusalem)is coming back to bite him in the butt.
Time for us to stand by our conservative Jewish freepers and help them spread the message to all that a vote for Obama is a vote against judeo-christianity
Encouraging Ping.
Obama is probably winning HUGE within the Muslim community. I’m not sure how that would compare to the Jewish vote, but Jews who are still planning to vote Democrat have not figured it yet.
But the president’s loss of approximately 25 percent of Jewish voters this year is not matched by a similar decline in any other demographic group.

Obamas 27% support among Catholics presents a huge advantage for Romney
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2924122/posts
He’s down 27% with Catholic voters.
(including LIBERAL Catholics.)
and that is a very LARGE group of voters.
including in key swing states like PA.
-
...Obama is down in EVERY demographic.
yet amazingly, polls still show him up,
by about the same amount as in 2008,
over McLame?
Dukakis was up by 14% at this point...
“Encouraging Ping.”
Here’s some more encouragement. I saw on the 700 Club this morning that voter registration among Americans living in Israel has spiked this year, and there was a particularly large increase after the Dems tried to take Jerusalem as their capital out of their platform.
Apparently, there are over 150,000 Americans living in Israel. Many of them are from states like Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. They expect record numbers of Americans in Israel to vote because they are VERY concerned about the way Israel’s been treated by this administration.
That IS encouraging!
:-)
And please do not bother to ask what his screen name was...I do not have the authority to disclose it.
But we're supposed to believe he is still leading. Uh huh.
Bye bye Florida! HAHAHAHA
Bye bye Florida! HAHAHAHA
I think that it interesting that yesterday, FreeRepublic was filled by the news of the polls, today, when the polls are virtually reversed by the exposure of the demographics, there is nothing being discussed.
Just wait until the news gets around that Obama is planning to lend the Islamist government in Egypt money to buy German submarines. Many of Jewish voters may be opposed to Zionism, but I don’t think that they would want to see the US work against Israel.
I’ll see if I can find the article.
50% of the “Jewish Vote” are people who aren’t actually Jewish, but merely consider themsleves etnically Jewish.
If you look at shul-going (or even regular “temple” going), I am confident the numbers favor Republicans.
Some Jews are liberals, and for any liberal their ‘religion’ is really their politics. One of those btw is Axelrod, who’s a red diaper baby (NY Jewish communist parents).
Precisely. That over sampling of Democrats is a pipe dream. Take that out and Romney wins by around 55%-45%.
The 2% is magnified in individual districts, as well.
The members of the ‘key demographic’ who run the so-called mainstream media are still at 100% for Bonzo and they do far more damage than merely voting for him.
>>Jewish voters are 2% of the electorate which typically break
Actually, I think 3%, and of course nationally that is not significant, but they compose almost 5% of the electorate in Florida AND THEY VOTE! Estimates put them at 7-8% of the total voter turnout there. A 25% swing, which is most definitely possible, could be definitive.
I believe it.
Me too. And Jewish support for Obama is way down. When I posted this sentiment on another thread, a NYer stated that he wasn't seeing reduced support for Obama in NYC so who knows how far reaching the phenomenon is.
My next door neighbor (liberal jewish woman) was leaning Romney but didn't like Ryan. She was literally in tears over the split vote over Israel at the Dem Convention. No way she's voting Obama this time around, nor will she send him her usual $250 donation. I've been keeping my eye on OpenSecrets to see if she donates to Romney - I suspect she will.
Same holds true for Catholics.
A bit of honesty and lack of PC dogma would help explain this issue. Its quite simple, the denigration of white christians in favor of the Rosseuian ideal “other” is a flop. It was all great fun and even profitable to be anti-white, that was till the bills started coming due and the possibility that America is going to become a 3000 mile wide Detroit is not a far fetched possibility.
Most of the Jewish folks don’t realize it, but a vote for Obama is most likely a vote for Israeli genocide. Israel and its population might well be extinguished. Here is the enemy plan: As soon as Iran has 8 nuclear weapons (my best estimate is that they have 3 now), they will attack Israel with 6 of them to wipe out the major cities. At that point, Hamas and Hezbollah will poor in to kill every last man, woman and child. But what about the Israeli military? That is the whole purpose of the the Arab Spring (Winter). To obtain control of at least one major military in the region to keep the Israeli military busy; with Egypt as the biggest prize. They have two countries now and are going for a third with Syria and its large stockpile of chemical weapons. But what about the U.S. and Europe? We will suffer multiple terrorist attacks, many of which will be against Jewish targets, to direct our attentions inward; at least for the two weeks they think it will take to accomplish the genocide. What is the timing of this? It was to be this year, after the election; but because of the software viruses, Iranian scientists that were killed, and general Iranian screw ups; the timing has been pushed back at least a year or a little more. This is just my informed opinion, but I do have a pretty good track record at this. What are the odds? About 70%. 90% if Obama gets re-elected. The wild card is actually Saudi Arabia. Will the Kingdom see it in their best interest to come down on the side of the Israelis in a significant way? A President could have three options to prevent the chain reaction. All have to be preemptive. If the Israelis were to attack Iran, they would have to do it every 3 to 6 months to maintain the status quo. The Iranians are too dug in and dispersed.
I do not think this is primarily to demoralize us or keep us from voting. I think the purpose is far more sinister.
The Dems know Romney will win, and will win big. They are trying already to de-legitimize his administration by setting the stage for people to question whether he won.
I can hear OWS right now: "How did HE win? Obama was up in every poll!!"
Major media are ignoring this startling finding, unexpected.
The media couldn’t find it’s a$$ with both hands.
Oh, they’re trying both all right. They’d be happier if they could swing the vote, but absent that, they’ll cry foul as you say.
On another note, but a similar one, the Post poll of NC was considered an outlier because it showed 30% of blacks voting for Romney. Yet, with black Southern preachers hammering Obama for his recent approval of gay marriage, maybe that 30% number in places like NC isn’t that far off? The God/Jerusalem fiasco at the convention couldn’t have helped either with that same group of black voters.
It would be interesting to find that same drift present in other polls, particularly in the swing states.
My guess is you’re right. I think most religious Jews are Republican and most nominal Jews are Democrats.
If the 2008 election was held in Israel, McCain would have been elected President, not the idiot we have now.
We have republican Gov’s in some swing states including mine state and we have to purge these rolls of dead people and stop this insane early voting and absentee voting
Elaborating on the point I made about the black vote above, the Chicago teachers’ strike could be incorporated here also.
Ryan has already gone on the attack, asking the Obama administration where it stands, with Emanuel or the union, which is a great move.
Now, if Romney (or Ryan) would make a pitch for the need to help black center-city kids who are failing to be properly educated (juxtaposed with that picture of the nearly all-white teachers holding their signs I saw yesterday), along with a reminder that Obama deep-sixed the DC voucher program that so many black parents were in favor of, I think it might be possible to seriously cut into the Democrat’s black vote in this election.
I might be kidding myself, but Romney has been served up some real nice softballs here, and so far only Ryan’s taken a good cut at them.
Summing up the targets: 1) Supporting Gay marriage, 2) setting up a Godless convention, 3) taking the side of the highest paid teachers in the country over center-city black students, and 4) doing away with the DC voucher program black parents wanted.
A possible message: “You voted for Obama in 2008 for the same reason many other Americans did; to show the world that America was ready for a black President. This year, you need to vote to remove that same President because he was not ready to lead America, and is in fact leading America in a direction you truly don’t want to go.”
The final screenshot: “2012: Change and Hope - Vote Romney”
FL is my state so I can only go on from what I see and who I talk to.
In 2008 there were not many obama stickers or signs and I stil say there was no way he won this state , hell Mccain won this tate on the night 53% to 47% but early voting gave the state to obama which we know they vote more than once and early.
Today , this year I’ve seen no more than 5 obama stickers, no signs except one outside the obama Dem campaign building.
I know a couple who voted for him and they said they will not vote for him this time, I know my MIL up in MA who is a life long Dem voter, JFK and all that.
She voted for Brown and now is going to vote against obama, she can;t stand the man and even has woken up tot he media lying up in her state MA.
Now I do live in one of the most republican counties in FL which is St Johns county[ St Augustine]
But even going into Jacksonville I seen only one obama sticker for obama and that was a black woman.
LOL She also has God bless sticker, a cross in the fornt of the car, I guess she did not hear about his homosexual agenda, killing babies and making Christians ignore their religion and the first amendment
But he’s still up by 100% among the dead.
And the brain dead.
My impressions as well. I'm just over the border of Philadelphia. Last time around, the Obama love was sickening. You couldn't go ten feet without seeing an Obama bumper sticker. Virtually every - and I mean every - car driven by an African American had some sort of Obama sticker. This time around, not so much. Barely any, in fact.
I also noted during the Chick-Fil-A days the large number of African Americans supporting Dan Cathy. That may or may not be relevent - But one thing I'm certain of through my observations is that Obama does not enjoy the level of support from the Black community that he had last time around.
You could put a stop to duplicate voting (and the dead voting as well) with one simple change:
Use the the Social Security database at voting polls. When you step into a polling place, you yourself enter your SS# into a computer linked to SS, and up pops your name (which had better match your photo id), your permanent address (which had better be in the precinct you’re voting in), your birth date (which had better show you to be 18), and your date of death (which had better be an empty field.)
I’m not sure if your SS record indicates whether you’re a citizen or not, but I’d bet that most non-citizens, whether here legally or not, would have trouble coming up with a Social Security record that matches their photo ID. Then if each state would indicate citizenship on their photo ID, that problem too would be solved.
Finally, we need to return to the traditional use of absentee ballots, i.e., to be used only when possessing a valid excuse for being unable to show up at the polls on election day. And pffft to early voting.
Obama and the Dems will do massive voter fraud and if they report the polls as the truth today how can they account on election night he wins big .
As it is they show the polls skewed for their messiah and on election night the polls with their fraud will be more or less correct
I would tell any Jew that voting for Obama is to vote for another round of Jewish genocide, because that is what I believe.
” Bye bye Florida! HAHAHAHA “
... sure - right until a big boat-load of absentee Israeli ballots accidentially falls into the sea - bye bye that.
Whatever scenario. They are practicing with the military ballots.
What do you think about Oregon?
The last SurveyUSA poll shows the Kenyan +4. That’s a 13 point drop from 2008.
There socialist leanings ties them to the Democrat Party.
That and the Death Wish.
Their socialist leanings ties them to the Democrat Party.
That and the Death Wish.
I’ll believe the defection when I see it, same with the Catholics. How does any believing Catholic vote Demoncrat?
Monty Python’s Black Knight on view.
What are the D/R splits? Surely Romney isn’t ahead in OR is he?
