The Terrifying Line in Obama's Speech That Everyone Missed
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 09/07/2012 | IBD Staff

His Agenda: President Obama's convention speech got rough reviews, and rightly so. He offered little but tired bromides and recycled promises. But critics overlooked one promise that will guarantee an even bleaker future.

There was plenty to dislike in Obama's speech. The language was flat, his delivery languid. The speech was stuffed with standard Obama chestnuts about the smallness of politics, the corrupting influence of money in politics, and how cynicism is our worst enemy. [snip]

But while everyone was picking apart these and other flaws in Obama's speech, they overlooked the most frightening line of all.

After 1964, the Democrats went from being the “party of the working class” to being “the party of the shirking class”.

Geez, I’m cracking up! Stop it already! Please, please give us the punch line so we can choke ourselves to death!

LOL! I know what you mean. Sad, isn't it?

I swear if I had any neighbors that I absolutely knew would be voting for Obama..

Luckily for me I happen to know my neighbors.

So tragic for those that believe from the mishapen core of their heart that they will still follow the sinking ship of Obamas socialistic conversion of America.

Yea, it is sad, but lets look at the bright side, FR certainly has enough traffic to attract these leeches.

"T"

Sorry, this fell out of the post above. Sometimes threads are rather slippery.

(I did enjoy the imagery of a letter "falling off" its place in your post.)

"bold, persistent experimentation"

Do we really want this man performing bold experiments on us?

Still most believe he saved capitalism and won WWII.

Well...what can I say? I bought into that until I took some Econ courses that included Milton Friedman.

The FDR story is the biggest and most successful con job in history.

From the article:

If Obama wants to conduct experiments, he should get a job as a high school science teacher, and not use the entire nation as guinea pigs, particularly when we already know how his tests will turn out.

I grew up durring his tenure in the White House and was taught as a child he was the most dispicable socialist bastard to ever occupy the White House.

My parents are in their eighties, and still vote Democrat, even though you'd think they'd noticed that their party has moved to the left of Stalin.

Wish someone like you could talk some sense into them.

Just checked your posting history. The last time you actually replied to anyone at Free Republic was in December 2011, although you’ve posted a ton of articles here, since then.

he'd pursue "the kind of bold, persistent experimentation that Franklin Roosevelt pursued during the only crisis worse than this one."

I didn't miss it. I said to myself, "Yeah, he's just going to continue experimenting since he has no real idea what to do."

All that's left is to give up OR to go on experimenting. It took Edison several thousand experiments to find his best filament, so maybe obama has a long way to go."

Hey, zoom up that cartoon from the NY Times— it is from 1934 I think. Stalin looks on while the useful idiots of intelligentsia spend us to oblivion, while Trotsky takes notes. A really spot on cartoon that someone should redo with the new actors in place.

Putin (since his is simply Stalin all over again, with feelings and press corps).

This was how FDR screwed up and prolonged the recovery, and led us into WWII as a solution— all to keep power in the demonrats control. And 4 damn terms— good Lord!

“In 2008 Obama’s agenda was clear to anyone who was looking at the alternate meaning of his words, the meaning obvious to anyone who knew anything about the man’s background. He told us what he would do.”

I agree totally! That is why unlike those on the right who say he is just plain incompetent and those on the left who complain that he is not doing enough for them I can never be disappointed by him. I expected exactly what has happened. If he ever does one single thing that makes one iota of sense to me I will be very surprised.

I’m sick of this BS. Carter’s economy was worse than the one Obama was handed. And Reagan had it turned around in his first term.
