The Terrifying Line in Obama's Speech That Everyone Missed
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 09/07/2012 | IBD Staff

His Agenda: President Obama's convention speech got rough reviews, and rightly so. He offered little but tired bromides and recycled promises. But critics overlooked one promise that will guarantee an even bleaker future.

There was plenty to dislike in Obama's speech. The language was flat, his delivery languid. The speech was stuffed with standard Obama chestnuts about the smallness of politics, the corrupting influence of money in politics, and how cynicism is our worst enemy. [snip]

But while everyone was picking apart these and other flaws in Obama's speech, they overlooked the most frightening line of all.

That was when Obama promised that he’d pursue “the kind of bold, persistent experimentation that Franklin Roosevelt pursued during the only crisis worse than this one.”

at the bottom of page one.

Here's the punch line: Instead of stirring rhetoric filled with hope and promise, Obama pledged that under his leadership, "our path is harder" and "our road is longer." Translation: more of the same and lots more misery for the Americans foolish enough to give this man another term as president. We've been duly warned.

Obama pledged that under his leadership, “our path is harder” and “our road is longer.”

From Obamese to English, “You may think things are bad now, but re-elect me—and you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!”

In 2008 Obama's agenda was clear to anyone who was looking at the alternate meaning of his words, the meaning obvious to anyone who knew anything about the man's background. He told us what he would do.

When he said he would "fundamentally transform this country" people were hearing those words in the context of actions of the presidents before him. But he didn't mean them that way.

He is doing the same thing here - he's telling us what he intends to do. When he says he's telling us 'hard truths' think about real hardship, not the 'Hawaii instead of Europe this year' kind.

Of course, again his words can be taken another way and he's more than happy if voters assume the rainbows & star spangled unicorn farts interpretation.

But thats not the truth of it folks.

I didn’t miss that line. But FDR is lionized as some kind of hero by the left and by the Republicans, such is the quality of our educational institutions.

Now we have site pimping to go along with blog pimping? Or is it this guy is bucking for a paying job at investors.com by trying to drive up the hits to show just how popular he is? I’ll follow the stats on Alexa.

Only bold arrogance born of a narcissistic personality could
dare even think of experimenting with the greatest nation ever.
The man himself is little.

Obama is a Saul Alinsky deciple so one only needs to look to “Rules for Radicals” to see what Obama has planned. Alynski believed that radicals could demolish the free enterprise system from the inside, but they must not reveal what they plan because it would frighten people. Alinsky believed that people would not give up the present system until they were in such despair that they have no choice, but to let go of the old system and grasp onto the new system. What is the new system? Marxism run for the benefit of the “have-nots” at the expense and burden on the “haves”. There were parts of speeches at the DNC where the speakers said Obama would build our nation from the bottom up. I understand who they are and what they mean.

Wonderful! We're all lab rats for an FDR wannabe who doesn't have the brains of Franklin's dog Fala.

In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.

Oh. The kind that made the Depression drag on until Frankie was dead?

It blows my mind that FDR turned a down cycle into a 14 year mismanaged mess....not that the Democrats tried to sell it as marvelous wonder, but that they actually succeeded in that effort.
