Democrats reinstate "God" and Jerusalem language in party platform

- After sharp criticism from Mitt Romney and Republicans, the Democrats have reinstated the language into their party platform that recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel as well as the words "God-given" that were removed in this year's platform.

Does it seem to anyone else that the Democrats are spending an awful lot of time and effort reacting to issues that the Romney people are putting out there, instead of concentrating on coming up with some sort of persuasive idea as to why Obozo should get another term?

Excellent point and I think part of it stems from the fact that Obama has NEVER faced a tough opponent who fights back.

All his IL legislature wins involved dirty tricks on opponents who self imploded with leaked divorce papers, sex scandals, etc.

And McCain was a weak opponent who never fought back and muzzled Palin.

No they didn’t, CBS. Amendments to the platform required a two-thirds vote of the delegate, and from what we can see and hear, they didn’t get it. Who are you going to believe, the DNC or your lyin’ ears?

As I'll note on all these threads, good thing it was a voice vote, cause I don't think that was 2/3. The boos were a nice touch.

All of which misses the point, why were G-d and Jerusalem taken out? Is that why they were concerned about having The One accept the nomination outdoors, lightening and all?

Yep. I'm sure the dems would prefer offense. But even defense on God or Jerusalem is preferable to talking about Obama's economic record. Any distraction is good for them.

So our side has to be careful and seize these opportunities but not let it distract us from the bigger picture -- attack on Obama's economic record.
