Man killed while trying to create Bigfoot sighting

KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) -- A man who was apparently trying to provoke reports of a Bigfoot sighting in northwestern Montana was struck by two cars and killed.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the man was wearing a military style "Ghillie suit" and was standing in the right-hand lane of U.S. Highway 93 south of Kalispell when he was hit by the first car Sunday night. A second car hit him as he lay in the roadway.

Flathead County officials identified the man as 44-year-old Randy Lee Tenley of Kalispell.

That reminds me of the CSI episode where someone hit a Furry in a coyote costume. They had to investigate the Furry freaks in their Furry orgies.

Everyone knows that you never pretend you are a sasquatch on a well travelled road. You use a secondary road in a forested area and run across the road in front of the car so that they can stop and try to chase you. Run fast...

Never dress up like a sasquatch during hunting season. The hunters don’t need a tag.

Beginning sasquatchi should use the game tunnels under the roads and trip the game cameras...

I started a bicycle trip from the Amtrak station in Whitefish to Northern CA in August 1980 by riding south on Highway 93 to Missoula. I was very naive, and didn't realize that 93 was regarded as extremely dangerous. While bicycling I noticed a lot of parallel black skid-marks leading off into the ditch, and frequently saw a bumper sticker that read "Pray for me - I drive (highway) 93". I later learned that the drunken driving incidence on the Flathead Indian reservation was behind a lot of the carnage.

During my youth I believed in both flying saucers and Big Foot and had a camera in my car at all times for decades, just waiting for the opportunity. It never came.

By the mid 1990's when every other person had either a cam corder, camera or cell phone with camera, I decided that no mysterious object could display itself without good photographs being taken by somebody. Since none have ever surfaced, the answer is obvious.

I’ve been very close to I-93...taken I-90 up through Idaho once from WY and on to Seattle, but don’t recall anything remarkable about that area, as far as unusual traffic hazards went. Lots of other things were memorable.

North of the reservation on hwy 93 is fairly bad (all the way to Eureka) for drivers too. The biggest problem (after the drunks) is the number of deer in the road. They’re like palestinian suicide deer.
