Conservative radio talk show host Mark Levin lashed out at GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney for not standing up for Chick-fil-A and demanded that the former Massachusetts governor pick a conservative to be his running mate.
We want a little bit more than crumbs, Levin asserted on Mondays show. We want a conservative running mate and we want some conservatives who have real speaking time at prime time.
Levin said he continues to be very concerned about Romney, particularly with the candidates public reticence in recent days to join conservatives who have made statements and appearances on behalf of the embattled fast-food chain.

Boo-yah.
:D
Mark Levin is right and Mitt is the wrong canidate...but I guess thats the way it is...

Mark needs to go on a tear about Romney’s major financial backers. Those guys are bringing Democrat values into the highest reaches of the Republican party ~ and turning it into a criminal enterprise run by moral and ethical failures.
I coined this phrase as a joke in 2008. Sadly, though it is only an analogy, it’s not even a little bit funny any more. There is too much truth to it:
I feel like a Jew having to decide between Hitler and Stalin.
I agree....Mitt doesn’t need to be dragged into every left wing made up controversy and get off message....who knows, maybe this one was just for that purpose?
Certainly being forthright on those two issues is not a ditraction. Being less than forthright suddenly becomes an issue in and of itself.
Certainly being forthright on those two issues is not a ditraction. Being less than forthright suddenly becomes an issue in and of itself.
IMHO this clearly went beyond what the left had planned, and was (rapidly) backed off of.
Chick-fil-A won this one, big.
Next...
Dump him now before he strikes again.
Levin is one of the few people I listen to on talk radio.
Shame on Hannity and others who act cowardly or even like Hannity said on his show once, “I don’t care who marries”
Be nice if many in talk radio, our side and the GOP got some balls for once when it concerns the homostapo and their NAZI thuggery.
"I'll be better for gays at fast food restaurants than President Obama."
Romney is the true vanilla candidate, a man of no principle save making himself look as uncontroversial and bland as possible.
Do not fail to understand that his motivation for becoming president is to insure his elevation to Mormon god upon his transition through death to his ultimate reality.
This is not a man seeking to enter heaven. He seeks to create his own heaven as per Joseph Smith’s venal fantasies.
For all of you out there who do not care about a man’s religion, nuts.
It wasn’t about free speech. It was about freedom of religion. Whether or not a Christian-owned business would be bullied into submission by the elected oligarchs.
Mr. RomneyCARE has an agenda, and this is so much against it.

Blah blah blah.
While I agree Romney isn’t the best candidate out there, he’s the richest, and very likely the most effective.
You are fighting the wrong side.
(IMHO)
He is not even conservative in principle (except for an attosecond of 'flipfloppery' occasionally).
Furthermore, Mr. RomneyCARE is far from the most EFFECTIVE.
Whatever.
I keep hoping Romney will appoint Palin as VP.
Then we can get you off the GOP bashing.
And win.
Yep. This was a perfect time for Romney to make a stand for conservative principles. If I were advising Romney, I would have told him to go get a Chick-fil-A sandwich last Wednesday. Or better yet, buy a franchise and hire some unemployed folks to get the store up and running.
Do you have any suggestions how we can help?
Sure, he had to deliver the idea in chunks, but that's only because everybody wasn't as smart as Leland.
Mr. RomneyCARE never has. NEVER.
Even when liberals PLEAD to Mr. RomneyCARE,
conservatives remain under the Romney bus:
"Governor Mitt Romney, who touts his conservative credentials to out-of-state Republicans,
has passed over GOP lawyers for three-quarters of the 36 judicial vacancies he has faced,
instead tapping registered Democrats or independents -- including two gay lawyers who
have supported expanded same-sex rights, a Globe review of the nominations has found.
Of the 36 people Romney named to be judges or clerk magistrates, 23 are either registered Democrats
or unenrolled voters who have made multiple contributions to Democratic politicians
or who voted in Democratic primaries, state and local records show.
In all, he has nominated nine registered Republicans, 13 unenrolled voters,
and 14 registered Democrats."

Romney Rewards one of the State's Leading Anti-Marriage Attorneys by Making him a Judge
Romney told the U.S. Senate on June 22, 2004, that the "real threat to the States is not the
constitutional amendment process, in which the states participate,
but activist judges who disregard the law and redefine marriage . . ."
Romney sounds tough but yet he had no qualms advancing the legal career of one
of the leading anti-marriage attorneys. He nominated Stephen Abany to a District Court.
Abany has been a key player in the Massachusetts Lesbian and Gay Bar Association which,
in its own words, is "dedicated to ensuring that the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court decision
on marriage equality is upheld, and that any anti-gay amendment or legislation is defeated."
- U.S. Senate testimony by Gov. Mitt Romney, 6/22/2004 P>

"Romney announces he won't fill judicial vacancies before term ends
Despite his rhetoric about judicial activism, Romney announced that
he won't fill all the remaining vacancies during his term - but instead
leave them for his liberal Democrat successor!
Governor Mitt Romney pledged yesterday not to make a flurry of lame-duck
judicial appointments in the final days of his administration . . . David Yas,
editor of Lawyers Weekly, said Romney is "bucking tradition" by resisting the urge to
fill all remaining judgeships. "It is a tradition for governors to use that power to appoint judges
aggressively in the waning moments of their administration," Yas said.
He added that Romney has been criticized for failing to make judicial appointments.
"The legal community has consistently criticized him for not filling open seats quickly enough
and being a little too painstaking in the process and being dismissive of the input of the
Judicial Nominating Commission," Yas said.

The Massachusetts Republican Party died last Tuesday.
The cause of death: failed leadership.
The party is survived by a few leftover legislators
and a handful of county officials and grassroots activists
who have been ignored for years.
Services will be public and a mass exodus of taxpayers will follow.
In lieu of flowers, send messages to Republican voters
warning them about a certain presidential candidate named Romney.
- Boston Herald, 11/12/2006
"In 2006, while Romney was chairman of the National Republican
Governors Association - a group dedicated to electing more
Republican governors - his own hand-picked Republican successor
as governor lost badly to the Democrat, despite the fact that Republicans
have held the governorship in Massachusetts since 1990. Romney largely
ignored the Massachusetts elections and spent most of the time
during the campaign out of state building his presidential campaign.
He came back and publicly campaigned for the Republican candidate
the day before the general election!
Locally, this is a rebuke to Mitt Romney and checking out within six months
after being elected and having accomplished almost nothing,
[Jim] Rappaport [former chairman of the state Republican Party]."

Pretty soon, we’re going to wish we had Jacob K. Javits back!
I'm sorry, it appears that's not part of his campaign~!@
He's not part of mine either.
Pretty soon, we’re going to wish we had Jacob K. Javits back!
God bless you Mark
:)
And the little Republican primary voters are the wrong voters too!
Yes, buy at stores whch the homostapo boycotts and boycott those places which come out ushing the lefty agenda.
Starbucks, Home depot, Amazon, Google and Target are massive contributers to the lefts agenda and the homosexual agenda.
It’s sad that the country has come to this but the fact is that in the last few years and especially the last 3 years those who engage in fecal sex have now pushed their agenda into our faces and we can either back down or stand up like those who have stood up before us.
Moral cowards all of them!
Romney apparently had no problem saying that he supported homosexuals in the Boy Scouts. I cannot believe he will be our nominee.
I don’t understand. I have read the first amendment. Who is Leland?
WOW! I had to check if I was in Free Republic.....for a minute there I thought this was the Democratic Underground.
Kid if it's a rich candidate you want, Soros is available
Meanwhile...
Trap or not, the dems clearly underestimated the response to this one. Mitt had a chance to knock it out of the park. In one fell swoop, he’d have stood on the side of free speech and the sanctity of the first amendment while intimating (if he’s incapable of shouting) support for traditional marriage, AND proving that there MIGHT be connection (however frail) between himself and flyover country. Instead he’s “playing it safe,” running in place somewhere between home and first waiting to be tagged.
HUGE mistake. Campaign staff needs to be replaced.
Maybe there is a pattern here that explains Romney’s failure to support Chick-fil-A:
“A spokesperson for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has advised that the former Massachusetts governor disagrees with the Boy Scouts current policy prohibiting open homosexuals from serving as members and leaders.
According to The Associated Press, Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul told the news outlet in an email that Romney still stands by his beliefs that homosexual men should be able to serve in the organization. She specifically noted that Romney had outlined his views in 1994 during a political debate, and that his stance has not changed.”
“Mitt Romney also recently reiterated his support for homosexual adoption. This past May, in an interview with Neil Cavuto of Fox News, he explained that while he is against the concept of homosexual marriage, he does believe that homosexual couples should be able to adopt children.
[I]f two people of the same gender want to live together, want to have a loving relationship, or even to adopt a child, in my state, individuals of the same sex were able to adopt children. In my view, thats something that people have a right to do, Romney outlined. But, to call that marriage is something that in my view is a departure from the real meaning of that word.”

Mitt Romney wins much coveted Jimmy Carter endorsement
Gore Praises Romney's 'Climate Protection Plan'
Carville(D):
"It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing.
Romney is an ascendant guy."
Sen. John Kerry (D) to Don Imus on RomneyCARE:
"I like this health care bill".
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D) on RomneyCARE:
"To come up with a bipartisan plan in this polarized environment is commendable."
Its sad that the country has come to this but the fact is that in the last few years and especially the last 3 years those who engage in fecal sex have now pushed their agenda into our faces and we can either back down or stand up like those who have stood up before us.
Yes it is sad but I believe people are choosing to stand up i.e. CFA. I am going to e-mail those leftist contributors to my address book. If we continue to support those businesses who stand for traditional marriage, we might boost the economy - who knows. And look into Amway (it’s sort of expensive though)
More people dislike him than like him. You can put lipstick on a pig, but the pig is still the same old pig. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
The socialist Kenyan in office right now is a disaster!! Romney should be creaming him in the polls & yet, it's a tight race. Another 4 years of him will certainly change America as we know it.
Only a miracle can get us out of this mess we're in.
Sorry if I offended anyone with this post. The truth is the truth & once again, we are asked to vote for the lesser of two evils.
Levin holding Romneys feet to the fire and I could not be happier about it. Obama has to go and Romney has to understand that his affair with conservatives will not be slam, bam thank you Ma’am now get lost.
I don’t think you live in the real world. No republican will be creaming any democrat at the polls or in a national election no matter how conservative. Those days are gone and will remain gone so long as half the people in this country pay no federal taxes. I really think a lot of folks do not realize how far down he road to Eurosocialism America has traveled which is exactly why four more years of Obama is untenable.
Mr. RomneyCARE could not even beat McCAIN last time
and instead attacked Gov. Palin.
Romney is not conservative. He is not Christian. And he has a considerable record as a gay activist.
It’s not a matter of not having enough spine. It’s a matter of simply following his own values—and lying to us whenever necessary to get himself elected.
Romney would never choose a conservative for his VP. And even if he was somehow forced to do so at the convention, so what? He would still be the same baby-killing, gay activist, socialist cult leader that he is now. His only strong point is his hair—almost as good as Edwards.
