Since the 1980s, In-N-Out prints discreet references to Bible verses on their paper containers. These consist of the book, chapter, and number of the verse, not the text of the passage, in small print on an inconspicuous area of the item.

How many attendees at LBGT meetings can say the 23rd Psalm from memory or know John 3:16 by heart? They probably think it’s some kind of secret government code. Now that the word is out that it’s actually a reference to a Bible scripture they will probably be coming out of the woodwork.
I’m sure the only reason they haven’t protested is that they don’t know. Edwards Pies used to print bible versus on their boxes but they sold the company and the new owners no longer do it. I love supporting Christian companies.
As an aside, I had a friend that worked at IAO back in the late 70's and made close to $8.00 an hour.
Back in those days, for a teenager, that was darn good money.
I knew it was a good place, best fast food burgers & fresh cut fries, anywhere! Just surprised they get away with this in Calif.

In N Out is a great company...there’s a ton of ‘em here in Vegas and I go all the time. They use only the best ingredients and make everything fresh to order. Great company.
... but they cook almost everything in peanut oil. This is not a very good place to eat if you suffer from allergies.
I love those burgers. They sautee the onions, grill the buns and use Thousand Island Dressing. I could do that at home but it just wouldn’t be the same.

Love a nice, big, tasty juicy burger. Problem is the cardiovascular system takes a greasy hit. Gotta watch the high cholesterol and high triglycerides this old body gets afflicted with. IAO is very good though, and extremely well run. When they put up a new restaurant, they pay cash, no debt on them. They also pick great locations as well.

It is fairly common to see people take out the B and the R of B-U-R-G-E-R- to get "In and Out Urge" on hats and T-shirts and such. My favorite Bible verse they put on their food is Revelation 3:20—"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."
Agree, for fast food, they are top shelf #1.
Back in the '70s they used to (maybe still do) have bumper stickers that said "In 'N Out" on the top line and "Burger" on the bottom line. Jokers would cut off the "B" and the "r" in "Burger" before putting the bumper stickers on their cars.
I like that they don’t mess around with the menu. Basic burgers and fries. Of course there is the “secrete menu” which is mostly customer driven, but they’re not constantly making up weird crap that no one wants like some of the other chains.
I should frequent them more. Thanks for the heads up.

I grew up in Cali back in the, well, let's just say, the day's.
Some time I miss it, other times I don't.
I moved to L.A. in 1976, right after college. It was great back then...also Reagan Country. Today? not so much.

The above were the words on a bumper sticker they used to give out, and possibly still do. Folks would cut out the B and the rs leaving urge.
So, the bumper sticker would read:

California is about 7 to 10% of it’s populace from being on the right track. If it had top level Conservatives coming to the state, say Presidents and top Congressional leaders, it could turn around in very short order.
It could do with a presentation series from people like Gingrich, touring the state, and spending a week in any given area, talking to real folks on real issues.. The guy is second to none when he talks about our Founding and the men who gathered to create this nation. It’s inspiring. That’s where his talents are.
He could go to college campuses. He could appear at major halls across the state. He could even spend time with small women’s groups, and church groups.
People of every race can be reached, if the original promises of this nation, were understood. Every citizen benefits from our rights, and the reduction in the size of government. Take home more of your pay. Realize which party really does care about your community, and is willing to team up with you to reduce crime. Take note of which party wants you to succeed, so you don’t need to be a burden on society, and which party wants to keep you down so it can count you in it’s power base.
Does welfare really contribute to your eventual success?
Is it better for your family if you have a job, or if you get welfare?
Do wealthy White people have it in for you? Don’t they benefit more if you are successful and contribute to a productive society.
We have acted like Conservatism just won’t sell in California. That’s hogwash. It’s tenets will sell anywhere, if we just tell folks what they are.
I would love to do so, but the nearest one is almost six hours away.
I bought several Chick-Fil-A gift cards yesterday at Gay Target. If they’re available somewhere, that’s a good way to support a business to.
(No. I’m not gaycotting Target.)
We seldom go to restaurants anymore, but if I do for fast food, it's CFA or In-N-Out, or possibly Wendy's.
