August, 2012.
The Great Rediscovery is in the headlines:
"Senate Candidate in Texas is Known as an Intellectual Force " -- The New York Times
"Romney: Media trying to 'divert' from real issues with focus on foreign gaffes."
"Romney praises Poland as model of economic liberty"
To borrow from Bob Dylan: "The times, they are 'a changin'"

And Richard Mourdock defeating Richard Lugar!
Been thinking a lot about Reagan.
To the extent that Romney and other candidate levels can meet the moment with what it requires, this will be because they realize they stand on the shoulders of Ronald Reagan.
It almost doesn’t matter about all the Romney twists and turns. It matters some, but not very much. If he or whoever the candidate would’ve been can understand what we need in 2012 and beyond, and can stand up and speak halfway coherently and interact with the American people halfway appropriately, they will do so to the extent they “channel” Reagan - his life and presidency.
And once in office, try to deliver on that Reagan vision.
It has all been done before by RR.
America has Reaganism in its DNA.
Whether America of today knows it yet, or doesn’t know it yet.
We aren’t Europe and we aren’t Venezuela and certainly not Cuba. O and the Dems would like to believe we can be bribed and bullied and brainwashed into it.
They have a shot, but have underestimated America.
Reagan lives.
