The August 1st,2012 FR Chick-Fil-A Posts and Pics Thread
self | Aug 1st | self

Posted on 08/01/2012 5:45:01 AM PDT by musicman

IMHO, since this is a very important day of activism to show support for Chick-Fil-A and traditional marriage, I thought this thread could be used for FReeper reports and pics from their visits to Chick-Fil-A's around the country since there probably won't be much "positive" coverage from the LSM.

FReepers could post their experiences and pics and maybe even "counter protest" pics. Folks should maybe remember to bring a camera (cell phone) to take pics with just in case something confrontational happens.

Go FR and Chick-Fil-A!!

That’s a good idea! I wonder if one can also buy gift cards online for friends and family?

I went to CFA this morning for a late breakfast (figuring it might not be so crowded), and the place was packed! The drive thru line went around the building. They already had employees outside helping, so the line would move faster.

I told the nice lady I would probably come back again later today. Think I will go mid-afternoon and get chicken salads and lemonades to put in the fridge for dinner and get some gift cards for our grown kids and their families.

It was wonderful to see the place so busy! We all need to draw the line here and now and stop the onslaught of PC excess that threatens all our freedoms.

Well, I don’t know. They might be kind of stale by the time the post office gets them to you. ;-)

You can always shop at the online gift store. :-)

Good for you! It is so wonderful to see the huge response in support of the stand CFA is taking for the truth. I applaud you.

I agree. There is way too much PDA now. We have become a country of exhibitionists and voyeurs, and it’s gotten out of hand. Nobody seems to believe in keeping their emotions in control or in keeping private things private. Hollywood and TV promote such behavior.

Absolutely. Not a fan of any kind of chicken (sorry). But the gal at the drive through window was extremely pleasant. She said that she has never seen it so swamped.

The drive through was all the way around the building with people having to merge in from multiple entrances to get into the drive through line (and being Maryland drivers, merging was not exactly polite). Looking inside the restaurant, it resembled a sardine can. And there were people still streaming in as I was leaving.

Keep in mind that this is Montgomery County, Maryland...one of the most whacked out left wing areas in the entire country. I can’t imagine it in a more conservative area...

I took a vacation day today to drive from San Jose, CA area out to nearest CFA in Fairfield (about an hour plus drive) for lunch and do a little sporting clay shooting. Going to be a great day!

Rush has been pre-empted in New Hampshire today by a minor-league baseball game...NH allows gay ‘marriage’...just a coincidence; I’m sure.

Wow, what a great experience going to Chik-Fil-A this morning! Never saw the drive thru lanes that busy before. Or the parking lot so full. The woman ahead of me told the manager she was there to support the company. I did the same. The manager was appreciative even though he was working his tail off to get everyone served quickly.

I enjoyed watching the young, clean cut workers behind the counter. They had a customer-first attitude that was refreshing to see. They were a racially diverse group who appeared to get on well as a team, and all were smiling and very pleasant even though they were swamped with orders.

Oh, and I had my first CFA chocolate chip cookie. Nice, warm, chewy. Sticker on the back said, "get 'em by the 1/2 dozen. we won't judge." I just might do that next time, because they were mighty good!

This is the first that I have heard from Rush on the subject. Not surprised, he usually lets everyone else have their say and then chimes in on these types of issues. He mentioned the appreciation day and then moved on.

Love their grilled chicken sandwich. Put a little honey roasted bbq sauce on it.

Next door neighbors are Christian and are now enroute to Dover, DE to have lunch at the Chick-fil-A! About a 45 minute trip one way.

As I said in an earlier post upthread, we went last Saturday.

Well, I don’t know. They might be kind of stale by the time the post office gets them to you. ;-)

Well I was hoping someone would EAT an extra sandwich for me, but now that you mention it, maybe a fedex overnight would work :-)

Hadn't thought about the gift shop online. Will go spend some bucks there instead. (Even though I still wish there was a CFA close to me - their menu had me drooling)

not surprised here as most of talk radio inclding Rush never raises conservative social issues and especially homosexuality and their sick agenda.

It’s about time talk radio and pundits like Hannity stopped being frauds and spoke up on these issues as staying silent only helps the left in their quest for destruction of the family and traditions

Just got back from the Chick-Fil-A near our work. Place was packed, but management had prepared well and the line moved fast. Drive-through was equally busy. We told the manager how much we appreciated their stand.

Everyone was happy and friendly!

It is kind of hard to tell from this picture, but this is just a small part of the traffic jam of people turning into CFA. What you see here goes back at least twice as far looking the other direction. There is a police officer at the light directing traffic.

These photos really don't do justice to the lines. Mind you, this was at 10:30 before the so-called 'lunch rush'.

Two block long line.

Line inside. The lines extended outside well past the parking lot into neighboring stores parking areas.

Runners taking orders from cars in line to try to speed up the process. They were also giving out drinks for those waiting in line.
