Romney didn’t work longer at Bain than he said.

He stopped working at Bain when he said, yet his name was on Bain SEC filings after that. WHY?

Because he owned the company...ie, had controlling interest via his shareholdings.

Are you capable of understanding the difference between working at a company vs holding controlling interest in the company?

I would think/hope you are capable of that.

I don’t accept Obama’s premise about Romney and Bain.

It is a lie.

So Stephanie Cutter was the head of the Obama Transition Team -

That means she was the boss of the Muzzie terrorist bastard Major Nidal Malik Hasan - the US Army shrink
that planned and executed the Fort Hood Massacre - His background info states that he was on the Obama Transition Team

well of course it is a lie- but the sheeple can be fooled by it

but my point remains, is that all he’s got?

The people are not going to be shouting down Romney over this... most wont even care. And Obama blew $100million on it?

You have a point, but so do I.

The lie is easily refuted, so it should be refuted, then it’s time to move on.

I would never concede the ground on a single lie especially so easily refuted.

Just about every word they say is a lie, but blowing this one up out of all proportion in order to plant the lie in the public mind, was to groom people to accept all the other lies that fit the template of Romney they mean to fixate people on, coming down the pike to election.

It’s so easy. Just say to people, if you own something, does that mean you WORK there? You might or might not work there, if you own it. One doesn’t equal the other. Even stupid people can get that.

Romney owned Bain after he quit working at Bain. The government that Obama heads has a law requiring the owner’s name be on papers filed with government regulators.

Then turn it around on the liars and point out that they KNOW why Romney’s name was on the papers after he quit working there. They KNOW about the law, they are simply lying to keep you voting for Obama.

No need, really. It's one of the woe-is-me freepers, another hopeless curmudgeon claiming to be a conservative, this one in a Blue state with the luxury of being holier-than-thou and resting on the sidelines rather than making a real choice at the ballot box.

There are plenty here, like me, who chose someone else in the primaries but have put their loss behind them and know what must be done in November.

Others are still waiting for a savior to swoop in and steal the nomination. They're unreachable and, blessedly, they each seem to be in either safe Blue or Red states.

I notice some of these are folks who hopped from one marginal candidate to the next rather than coalesce behind one choice as the anti-Romney. They got what they bargained for and caused the rest of us to suffer a Romney nominee.

It's July. Obama is digging a deeper hole. His expensive, high risk strategy has proven to be a failure. It is counterproductive as his Chicago thug tactics are turning people off.

Tomorrow is Sheriff Joe's press conference. Let's see if anything interesting turns up that Romney's surrogates can use against The One.

You are dreaming. Half the country is on the government teat. They will vote for Obama. Add in fraud + media + porkulus, plus a weak opponent - and this will be a very close election.

Immigrants and minorities vote Democrat. The rapidly changing demographics of this country help the Dems.

Heavily Democratic minority voters (80 percent for Obama) increased their share of votes in U.S. presidential elections by 11 percentage points between 1988 and 2008, while the share of increasingly Democratic white college graduate voters rose 4 points. But the share of white working-class (not college-educated) voters, who have remained conservative in their orientation, has plummeted by 15 points.

That’s a pattern that’s repeated in state after state, helping send those states in a Democratic direction. In Pennsylvania, for example, the white working class declined by 25 points between 1988 and 2008, while white college graduates increased by 16 points and minorities by 8 points. And in Nevada, the white working class is down 24 points over the same time period, while minority voters are up an amazing 19 points and white college graduates by 4 points.

These trends will continue, and the United States will be majority-minority nation by 2042. By 2050, the country will be 54 percent minority as Latinos double from 15 percent to 30 percent of the population, Asian Americans increase from 5 percent to 9 percent, and African Americans move from 14 to 15 percent.

Other demographic trends accentuate Democrats’ advantage. The Millennial generation (those born between 1978 and 2000) is adding 4 million eligible voters to the voting pool every year, and this group voted for Obama by a stunning 66-32 margin in 2008. By 2020—the first presidential election in which all Millennials will have reached voting age—this generation will be 103 million strong, and about 90 million of them will be eligible voters. Those 90 million Millennial eligible voters will represent just under 40 percent of America’s total eligible voters.

Minorities are Democrats’ strongest constituency, and their numbers are growing rapidly. Overall, the share of minority voters in the national exit poll rose to 26 percent in 2008 from 23 percent in 2004. Back in 1988, that share was just 15 percent. That’s a rise of 11 percentage points over 20 years, or about half a percentage point a year.

Between 2004 and 2008, the share of African-American voters rose from 11 percent to 13 percent —hugely impressive for a group whose share of the overall population is growing very slowly. And the Hispanic share of voters rose from 8 percent to 9 percent over the same period. Blacks voted 95 percent to 4 percent for Obama in 2008, up from 88 percent to 11 percent for then presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) in 2004.

Hispanics voted 67 percent to 31 percent for Obama in 2008, a 36-percentage point margin that was double Kerry’s margin in 2004.

American HATES losers...
What we have is a Media so in the tank for Obama, that they don’t even REPORT on Obama’s Illegal Libyan War For Oil, and when they do, NBC even referred to it as “Humanitarian Bombing”.

Don’t believe it.. you are buying into nonsense.

You think all those on some sort of program want to be?? You are a complete fool.

This election will not be close, Obama peak is 42-43%, you really think suddenly the electorate is going to break for him? You are nuts.. He’s got all the support he’s going to get.. there ain’t no more coming and likely will lose some of the support he has between now and election day.

Fight like its going to be close, but its going to be close like McGovern was close.

As others have pointed out, Dems got ROUTED in ‘10, and what has Obama done since? He’s doubled down on the same things that got them routed, he didn’t moderate, or move right, or adjust, just became more adament that the electorate was wrong and he was going to do even more of what they rejected.

He’s toast.

This guy is beyond an amateur, he’s a person who’s talent wouldn’t even get him on a team in intramurals trying to play in the big leagues, and yes the press is running interference, but its not going to matter, just like in 2010 it didn’t matter.

The electorate has made up its mind! Just like they had in WI, just like they had regarding ObamaCare... it doesn’t matter what this schlub does between now and november, he’s done. He lost the electorate long ago, and has no chance of recapturing it.

The “Humanitarian Bombing”. characterization by NBC is in the highest Orwellian traditions.

That is the key as to what is keeping him @ 44%. According to the MSM, we're lucky to have Obama.

“Most of that will dissipate after the conventions. Some (including a notable number here on FR) still harbor the irrational hope that a white knight will ride to the rescue, sweep the delegates off their feet, and deliver a Palin/Gingrich/Paul nomination.”

Well said. I have and do support Palin or Newt but that is not going to happen. I do deal in reality and Mitt is going to be it. We now have to concentrate on the other elections such as Cruz over Dewhurst.

I have no hope, irrational or rational, but I STILL would prefer another candidate. (No hope is not strictly true—Romney could die or become incapacitated and the GOP just might choose someone worth voting for, but I’m not holding my breath).

I agree. 2010 was a referendum on Obama and the GOP was swept back into control of the House.

Nothing has happened since then to make the voters change their mind. If anything, the sentiment against Obama has increased as two years later, we are still running up huge deficits, the unemployment rate is stuck, porkulus has been shown to be nothing more than a union handout, and Obamacare grows increasingly unpopular.

In 2010, independent voters went GOP in large numbers. Obama needs those voters and I can’t see any way he gets them back. They strategy he’s trying now is to bombard the airwaves with negativity so that the independents just tune out and wash their hands of politics this time around. It’s not going to work because the independents are as angry as conservatives and can’t wait to take their anger out at the polls.

That’s it? Thats the worst they can say about Romney? Is Obambi out of ammo already?

Wait until they start in on his Mormonism. And they will if the race remains close.

And if they do, it will be tempting to respond with Jeremiah Wright, but I think Romney is too smart for that. He should leave well enough alone and let Obama appear small minded and bigoted.

There are signs of the “bar stool”: Using the actual politically incorrect word in an ad - “LIES” and refusing to give Obama any more Income Tax Return Ammunition.

Those are good signs. I don’t think Romney is going to make the McCain Mistake. At least I’m hopeful that he won’t.

Agree. I think we will see some very pointed attacks after the nomination.

OB et al are gloating in their pull the dogs tail at the moment.

In awhile Rove, Sununu, Trump ,et al will give them the teeth they so richly deserve.

Romney/VP can then finish them off with clear, substantive ways to bring the US back.
