Candidates Pledge to Repeal Obamacare
June 29, 2012 | Me

I’d like people’s opinion on this and I’m surprised that I have not seen this idea posted.

1) Romney should be asked to sign a pledge that he will sign an executive order halting Obamacare within one week of his inauguration. If he refuses this to this, he’s not serious about repealing this law and does not deserve conservative support.

2) All House and Senate republicans up for election should be asked to sign a pledge that they will immediately introduce and or support legislation defunding all aspects of Obamacare. Same logic here, if they can’t make the commitment they are not worth supporting.

My opinion is that we will receive a lot of lip service from the candidates between now and November. However, once they are in, I think they will do nothing to repeal this law.

I also worry we will get lots of excuses.

Its simple, do just what Obama has already done. Issue waivers..but to EVERYONE!

In January 2011 a repeal bill was introduced, and of course went down in the senate. So they made good on that promise. Cantor has scheduled an appeal vote on July 9. that will also go down in the senate but will put people on record. So, they are attempting it, but we just don’t yet have the votes. It is up to us to make sure they act on their promise.

The first step in repealing ObamaCare is bringing an indictment against Eric the Holder. Do that and you’re on your way.

I saw a Pete Hoekstra ad in Michigan today hammering Debbie Stabenow on her support of Obamatax. I’m sure the other GOP candidate (Clark Durant) is also for repeal.

My representative was promising to wok for repeal within an hour of the court decision.

I like the way you think.

what you are describing is one of the terms i layed out long ago for romney to get my vote.

his pledge must be public and his published signature are both required. i hope he signs pledges at a minimum to

1. repeal obamacare in its entirety.

2. certify his knowledge of global warming as a hoax.

3. certify his conversion to ban all convenience abortion.

there is of course a lot more he can pledge including his signature on the contract from america. but the above minimums would allow me to vote for him.

Its a near dead duck in the house. However I believe the house can cripple it without senate help in the meantime based on the house taxation priority.

More to the point, the obamacare decision should be the new litmus test for all would-be candidates.....for any office.

According to the supreme court, its a tax. The house takes priority in matters of taxation and they can refuse to allow the IRS to collect the tax for it.

It also helps if the states themselves refuse to take part.

IMHO, Romney will not sign a pledge, but he ought to be required by TP’ers/Conservatives to do so. He’s going to have to be made to undo Obama’s doings.

Cool. If we can’t repeal it, we mutilate, castrate, and eviscerate.

If the GOP doesn't, it will cease to be a major political Party.

This is it's Kansas-Nebreska act which was shoved down the American People's throat and destroyed both political parties, one because they did it (Democrats) the other because they didn't undo it (Whigs)

The GOP came into power because of this act.

Right, they all lie. Once they have our votes, they ignore us. Republicrats and Democans alike.

All I want right now is for the house to hobble it so when we get senate control we can figure out how to make sure its dead.
