One reason for putting off the next Arpaio presser is that the impending SCOTUS ruling on Obamacare will suck the air out of the news cycles for days, thus blacking out any other stories.

You're a peach!

Have a cee-gar for that astute observation!

Also the pending ruling on the AZ immigration law.

SCOTUS has known for a long time what their decision was. Who decides when they release the results and why?

The last day of the SCOTUS session is June 25th? Is that right? A week from now? And both sides have been given a week to give the judge their proposed “decision”. Does the amendment of the complaint happen before that, or after that?

Talking about the upcoming Arpaio presser, not the Florida case.

Apparently so...
@How the Supreme Court's "ObamaCare" Ruling Could Affect Stocks

With a ruling expected on or before June 25, it's time to prep your portfolio for the various possible outcomes. (The Supreme Court holds its press conference on Thursday, June 14, leading many to expect an official announcement to come on June 14 or June 21 and not June 25, which is the last day of the current session.)

Right. I’m just trying to figure out whether the evidence for this case would in any way impact Arpaio’s timing of the presser. Specifically, would the lawyer in this case present what Arpaio’s got before SCOTUS rules on Obamacare? If the judge has to decide not to dismiss this case first, before the amendment can be made, then it won’t happen before SCOTUS closes for the summer. In which case, Arpaio is free to time the presser whenever he sees fit. Obama’s only got so many Breitbarts he can pull off on a moment’s notice...

The Obama people were counting on Arpaio not being able to do much about criminal charges because nobody in a different state has to cooperate with a county sheriff. But that doesn’t mean that what’s been found in the criminal investigation can’t be used in CIVIL trials, which is the only legal route Arpaio has on this issue, aside from arresting the underlings who did the dirty-work.

One reason is not to give Obama little chance to pre-empt with who knows with what

Plus I think they are waiting for the ruling on Obamacare to come down. Once that comes down, that is all that is going to be on the news programs for a week.

Did this judge not hear that when people became democrats and the democrat rule says that Obama is automatically the candidate, then the people voted. They voted by giving their rights and their vote to decide their candidate under these circumstances to the democrat party.

Not to be rude, but why is that fellows face so strangely red, but not around his eyes and parts of his mouth? Did he stay out in the sun too long or does he have a birthmark of sorts?

Also, I think the judge ask some pretty asinine questions, such as the one about what if the citizen father died before a baby is born. He doesn't ask totally inane questions like this one to the other side. His attitude is soft and conciliatory to the President's attorneys but strained with ours. And he does seem scared or in the least quite nervous.

"Klayman cited a definition of “natural born citizen,” which the Constitution requires of presidents, from the U.S. Supreme Court. Obama’s attorneys, however, simply said that didn’t apply but offered no further citations.

We should present Obama's own definition that he agreed to and signed his name to at least twice. From the SR 511 committee he (and Hillary) was on, he agreed NBC definition was TWO US CITIZEN PARENTS. He then signed agreement again when it went to the Senate floor. Sorry, Hussein, you can't play flippity floppity, push the reset button, call a mulligan, or play the meaning of "is" card. I've been waiting for the vetting of McLame to come back and bite him.

There is no way this judge rules against zero. He looked scared just talking about it.

Every single judge has recieved their phone call. Last time his attorneys couldn't even be bothered to show up. SCOTUS by their own words are "evading" the issue and Congress handed him their collective dingle bells and kissed his feet. We can hope but we know in our heats none of these are ever going to go anywhere.

Thank you. I can reply now...

It is amazing how many in public life are utter cowards. Not saying the judge is but from what I’m trying to grasp it sounds as though he is.

Also HIGHLY disturbing is the FL Governor’s trying to get the case dismissed. Is Sheriff Joe the only man in the US in a public position with courage?
