Have pro-Israel liberals—at least some of the intelligent ones—finally had enough of President Obama's incompetence and dithering with respect to Israel and the Middle East?
Apparently. First, there was the extraordinary column by well-known journalist Ari Shavit, a man of the left, in Israel's newspaper of the left, Haaretz, last Thursday. Here are the highlights (but by all means read the whole thing here):

Most of these secularized American Jews see no historical need for a land of Israel dedicated to their people. Even Israeli leftist Jews are still Israeli and have some fealty to the place. Not so for American leftist Jews.

The only country in whole G-D Forsaken middle east that has Women’s Rights and protects Gays from being killed by their government and the liberals are the first to sell it down the river in favor of their “multicultural(sic) muslim pals”....
Traditional Reform Judaism had no use or need for Zionism, having replaced “The Temple” with a lot of local temples throughout the world, and thereby considering Israel to be nothing more than an historical relic. With the establishment of Israel, this was an inconvenience that the “new” Reform movement has tried to adjust to. But I am sure that the existence of Israel as the “home” of Judaism is something that Liberal Reform/secular Jews could live without.
Another boo hoo moment. American Jews consistently choose to pay tribute to their executioner.

American Jews, with both hands, helped elect this human personality disorder who sits in the WH overseeing Israel as a plantation, while they ignore and reject Republican WASPS, who would crawl through glass on their hands and knees to comfort and provide for Israel’s defense and autonomy.
Their unconscienable voting habit looks no further than for the (D) in any ballot box. Let them eat quiche crumbs from the table they set for themselves with the Arab host they elected to entertain them.

I will believe this when I see it. Oh sure, maybe 3% of Jews will flip. I’m infinitely skeptical of anything over a single-digit flip.
I am convinced Valerie Jarrett is behind the policy and Obama is the straight man who provides her ME policy the detached bravado it requires but belched up from his acute personality disorder.
