Newsweek finally goes where none have gone before

Are you kidding me? I get that Andrew Sullivan is a man with an agenda and I completely support his right to make his opinions heard. I also understand that Newsweek – like any other publication – is in business to make a profit and that frequently involves pushing the envelope in terms of catching the public’s attention.

But at what point is too much simply too much? When is the shark definitively jumped and the daily bread burned past any reasonable definition of being toast? Ladies and gentlemen, this would be that point.

Politico “explains.”

“‘Let the games begin,” Tina Brown said last week after Time Magazine released its controversial breastfeeding cover.

Brown, whose tenure as editor at Newsweek has seen an array of controversial covers, will respond with the above, pegged to Andrew Sullivan’s piece on Obama’s support for same-sex marriage: “The First Gay President.”

The poster that comes from this is going to sell millions. Take that to the bank.

I’m not such a political neophyte as to suggest that this is unique in politics, but the bold faced, brazen machinations and ham handed plotting which have characterized this “evolution” in the President’s position on the subject at hand are rather breathtaking. And I’m not saying that people don’t actually “evolve” in their positions, beliefs or ideology. I know that my own attitudes and beliefs in my twenties were a far cry – in some instances at least – from where I stand in my fifties. Very few of us spring out of the halls of high school fully formed with all of the opinions we’ll hold until the grave.

Of course they are building him up for a fall, possibly one off a tall cliff.

Remember what Farrakhan has been saying for a while now? Trying to convince people that he is a messiah way back when (2008) to the NOI? A few weeks (maybe a couple months) back Farrakhan was speaking about Obama and specifically mentioned martyrdom. Well, to a Christian-centric culture a messiah necessitates martyrdom. Barack, with exposure of his lifestyle, is not keeping things on the DL(down-low) anymore and will (of necessity of appearance) lose his support from even the members of his former church community at Trinity.

I’m wondering how his friends in the Muslim Brotherhood will respond to this? He’s been moving and shaking things in the Islamic world quite a bit, and one of the balls he’s been juggling is going to fall (no pun intended). Whether it’s Communists, or Islamists the *best* thing that could happen for their long-term goals is for this nightmare to turn into a crisis they can then exploit to coat people’s eyes with anger and sympathy...

It reminds me of what happened to MLK, Jr., and how Jesse Jackson is now one of the biggest hypocrites out there on issues of “racial harmony” having completely skewed everything MLK, Jr. believed and preached about. It reminds me of how Malcolm X was murdered as well (as his mind was opening to the truth). It wouldn’t surprise me a bit if this was “Plan B” all along... and Barack is so self-obsessed that he can’t even see how much others are using him and can’t really stand him.

I agree with you - I think the commies were used as a scapegoat due to the recent troubles with the Soviets and Cuba.

Not only that, but JFK and Bobby were making things pretty hard for LBJ among powerful reps, senators and others in the Dem party of the South.

What if the commies are setting him for ACTUAL martyrdom?

Their only chance to hang onto power may be to assassinate their own leader (who has proven to be an incompetent narcissist) and ride to victory on the sympathy vote.

As long as they can set it up to blame the deed on a right wing, Christian, anti-gay whacko, they think the people will buy it.

The Clintons would be overjoyed to participate in such a plot.

Let's see, Breibart's team is rumored to be coming out with something big, Sheriff Joe is having another press conference in June, various people investigating the Selective Service card fraud, the Social Security number that doesn't pass E-verify, more and more people researching his socialist/communists mentors and associates, his drug use, the upcoming SCOTUS decision on Obamacare, the defeated Occupy movement and its obvious WH and union ties, the useless czars, more burdensome anti-business government rules and regulations, an out of control EPA, more executive orders, Fast and Furious still unresolved, class warfare, income redistribution, ACORN voter fraud gearing up, Muslim outreach, abandonment of Israel, the economy and the $16 Trillion in debt, higher taxes, gutting our National Defense, the Obama Media Complex, orchestrated crises, no jobs and 85% of recent college grads moving back in with their parents, alienating our allies, befriending the Muslim Brotherhood, foiling energy independence, . . there's a whole lot more, but that's enough for now.

So, what's going to be the diversion this week? If he gets really desperate, will he go the False Flag/martial law route?

Perhaps I shouldn't have sounded so certain the inoculations would take. I still think that the DNC/MSM is attempting an inoculation — for reasons you've both stated, I can't be certain how well that strategy will work for Obama. I hope you're both right on that score.
