This is a slippery slope. A private spot of land with some gun range targets on it can become a “para-military compound.” Idle, frustrated chatter on websites or in email can become a “plot to [fill in the blank].” The “inside informant” may be a felon offered a sweet deal - but only if he returns information about nefarious activities being planned by the target group.

This is scary stuff. Add in a headline seeking, wanna-be-a-politician DA, the Holder FBI and/or an aggressive or paranoid sheriff who may be up for re-election and any of us could be caught up and accused of terrorists activities.

It will be interesting to see what the real story is or if this is just another Hutaree setup of some idiots that like to talk big. You’d think that any group of guys that were doing this would know that there are a ton of FBI and state undercover operatives just looking to get in and push these types over the legal line so that they can get the big headlines and look like hero’s for the day. Even if at the end they get let off it will take a few years sitting in jail with no bail before they do.

There certainly are a lot of them though, the 5 in Ohio that they gave a fake bomb to blow up a bridge is another one, all white and apparently part of the occupy crowd. What a bunch of idiots, ya sure that friendly older gentleman offering you a bomb is NOT a federal agent! Those guys deserve 20 years in jail just for being total communist idiots.
