This is a follow-up to a Trayvon-type story posted here on FR last week. Purportedly, the driver who shot the teen is white, and was dropping off his girlfriend at her apartment. The mother (of course) blames everyone but her son and herself and commented last week in an interview that the driver who was approached and threatened with a loaded firearm should have noticed (even with the t-shirt around his head) that Ja'quares was "only a little boy". Turns out her son was involved with a local gang (links in the earlier article referenced).

Just reading the story you would never know that this kid had a loaded, cocked handgun IN HIS HAND when he ordered the victim out of the car.

His age cuts absolutely no ice in that situation. If I am carrying a gun and someone points a gun at me, I am not going to wait to see if he’s bluffing or not, he’s going down.

"Investigators say they received information that walker approached a car,"with a gun in his hand", and told the driver to get out of the car. The driver then pulled out a handgun and shot the 13 year old.

Fixed it for the writer... I'm sure he just FORGOT to include that little fact by mistake.. /s

Dr. Al B. Sutton Jr. led a sermon preaching out the book of mark and had a direct message to young adults as well as the parents in the building.

The really interesting part of the case is that there were only 8 news articles about it in the last week, all local.

More people have heard of the case here on FR and some other blogs than from the news media, in contrast to all the publicity given Trayvon Martin.

Obama must be in continual mourning with so many of his sons being gunned down when “they wasn’t doin’ nothin’”, while pointing a gun at a store clerk, or a homeowner in their home, or all too often in a gunfight with other sons.
