Obama’s Outrageous DOL Rules Will Restrict Minors From Working on Family Farms – Killing Farm Life As We Know It
Like we pay attention to what the government says we can and can’t do. My grandchildren will work on our family farm. The kids have since the early 1900’s and the tradition will continue. KMABO
All I can say is this is unbelievable, but coming from the Obama Administration it’s not surprising. Just another reason to get this batch of socialists out of Washington, D.C. in November.

This is what it’s come to. Congress shovels money and “rule making” authority at the executive branch then walks away because they don’t want to be held accountable themselves. It’s easier to be defensive, act outraged and point fingers when what they’ve given away is abused.
Honestly I expected this a long time ago. I remember as a kid an inspector telling my father that “Kids shouldn’t be working around this large equipment”.
More laws real people will ignore.
Everyone will just be a lawbreaker, and we’ll all care less about the rule of law.
If the turkey in the WH and his administration are not voted out in November I fear we won’t survive another four years as a Constitutional Republic. Patriots are barely holding on to it now and it’s something that has got to addressed.

BTW, there’s a bill in the CO legislature for reorganizing part of the State’s HHS (CO DHS) services regarding kids. It’s a UN-related thing. If it passes, the State will monitor much more about children and their households.
IMO, the only correction in sight is the default process to force smaller government, but there will be a whole lot of pain for the next tiers of middle class families cut from the ever more exclusive economy (debt regime radically shrinking sooner or later).
When the government crosses some line that you have drawn in the sand, what will you do?

Have to pry the heirs away from the family farm so they know nothing of the family business and will be all too willing to part with it as they grow older.
Also puts a fork in the meme that these farm jobs are work Americans just WON’T do.
Thune needs to defund the DOL. Simple as getting the few non RINO’s in line and running with that.
The rural way of life is a threat to the left. In fact, any self-sufficient way of living is anethema to them. All good citizens must be dependent on the government for their basic needs.
This is just the start on U.S. farming. He’s destroyed virtually everything else, so it figures farming would be a high priority target. By the time he’s done, the US will be forced to import 99% of it’s food.
He's either clearing away family farms to make way for collective farming, or he's forcing farmers to hire illegals and pull more Mexican Socialists into the country (so he can give them citizenship -- by decree if necessary), or .....both.
Force farms to hire illegals. Then confiscate them or regulate the private owners out of existence, and collectivize them using Mexican Communists for the labor force.
Something like that?
1. Pay in cash.
2. Ignore the government.
Thinking about all the beautiful Amish farms that have been in the family for decades. They will become a thing of the past.
