No link yet. I'm just seeing it on CNN. Reuters said Fox called it as well.

Newt is a lazy and weak campaigner who had little going for him other than a few debates. He has not run a good campaign, picks and chooses states(wow, whatta fighter)and he is also broke.

Couple that with a seedy reputation and it is easy to see why he went nowhere.

Talk about an idiot.
**

You’d better back up your talk here. Your main squeeze Romney cannot get a majority of conservative votes if he were to stand on his head. HE is and WILL BE the weak candidate in the general election and his candidacy will go down like the Hindenberg.

But fellows/gals like you just never seem to learn ... always gotta run with the RINOS. Idiocy is doing the same thing twice, yet expecting a different outcome.

Krauthammer just said that he believes the ticket will be Romney/Rubio.

It may shape up that way, it seems. Possibly Romney/Ryan.

That is a fascinating point. IDK much about Martinez, but if she was to run as a Chicana woman, not just a generic Hispanic, that would be mighty interesting. Way more Chicanos than Cubans in the electorate. Think California...Texas...New Mexico...Arizona...Nevada...Colorado...Illinois(largest Hispanic city in the US is Chicago, most of them from Mexico...)

As much as I dislike Romney, I would perhaps vote for him given the alternative. No money from me though.

Likewise, voting in other races in the general election is crucial to trim Obama coat tails.

Romney is a dyed-in-the-wool flat-out stinkin’ to high heaven liberal.

As Senator Everett Dirksen (R -IL)once said, “If the voters are given a choice between a democrat and a democrat, they will always chose the democrat.” So, that would put Obama as the winner, Romney the loser.

Levin just said a little bit ago that Romney has a real problem because it isn’t like his winning in blue states is some big accomplishment. He was never NOT going to win the POS state I live in. It’s too far gone liberal. But he only barely wins in red states. His machine has spent too much money attacking other Republican nominees and not enough trying to connect with conservatives. The reason...IMO because he isn’t one.

I am worried that this same vicious underhanded-ness will not translate to attacking Obama when he becomes the nominee. THAT is when he will really need it.

I have never liked Romeny and like him SO MUCH less now. But, if he picks a strong and I mean STRONG VP running mate, that will be his only saving grace.

I read today that vile Mittens has the all time lowest approval rating of either party leading candidate in modern history.!

This creature has literally fire bombed the GOP base and is hated by majority of the GOP thanks to the ugliest primary campaign in my life time .

He is the Dems dream come true .
Obamacare is a non issue which will help all the Dem House and Senate candidates and do us cap & trade that evil Mittens will ram thru just like the Marxist .

That's right, it's pretty much over. This win in Illinois for Romney will push a great deal of voters his way.

What is interesting to note, is all the Gingrich voters (about 10%) who went over to Romney and even Paul. A fair number of Santo voters also went to Romney. (Or Paul)

“Levin was on saying turnout was PITIFUL. Way to go GOP!”

After Willard Romney the open socialist finishes alienating the entire voting base with his avalanche of attack ads, maybe he can get to the REAL job...losing to Barack Obama.

It will be interesting to see how many of us who pledge unshakable opposition to Romney will end up voting for him after he “wins” the nomination.

You wrote to AmericanInTokyo:

Instead of whining, why don't you name names? Accuse them directly of being a Romney-bot.

How about you for one, Mariner. Yesterday, I posted

Glad to see that a Romney win brings you such pleasure.

To which you replied:

Anybody but Santorum.

That 'anybody but Santorum' would certainly include Romney now wouldn't it.

Hey, *you* "come on and be honest" (sic). :-) I was not born yesterday and I did not just fall off the fertilizer truck. I know how the false flag and bait n' switch/disinfo game is slickly and disingenously played and was played on this forum and in other media on behalf of Willard. Just watch the Romneybots now all suddenly start to materialize and BS and feign on here, "well, looks like it's over, I don't like Mitt a bit but time to close ranks and support him."

This is the GOP-e game, and they have done it for every four years now, the last true Conservative Republican being Ronald Reagan and even that represented a bottom-up, grassroots rebellion against both GOP-e and the MSM arrayed against him. This fix is in, has been for weeks and months. Next it will be amplified by "conservative" talk show hosts already in the tank to urge the lemmings to go over the cliff for Bishop Romney as a "fait d'accompli" which they engineered from the start and knocked out conservative after conservative threat in this race. Bachman. Cain (joined the media circus and did not come to his defense). Perry. Next will be Gingrigh and Santorum for sure. This is who I hold responsible, the GOP Establishment and their water carriers.

I am insulting Newt because I am sick and tired of the nasty stuff toward Santorum. It is worse than how people around here talk about Obama. It truly is. Why is that?

I tried to hold it back for a couple days, but fair is fair. Neither of these guys is going to win, Romney is.

So Katie, bar the door.

That it will.

It will be a test for me, for sure. Can I pull the lever for a bottom feeder like Willard? Won't know until the time comes.

I'll tell you what else will be interesting - how many of the people here who've been on non-stop crusades against Santorum will turn up during the general, wagging their fingers about 'being a team player'.

That will be enlightening.

380,000 registered conservative republicans in the southern majority of the state, as many GOP as in the 'rat-infested North.

I heard on the radio that Turnout was very low. Chalk that up to a lot of people who are not going to vote For Robama or any of the GOP choices that we have been given for that matter. It was all part of the plan.

Pretty sad, once again my vote went to waste. I am proud to have voted for Rick, I originally was in the Newt camp but after his many losses I went with who I thought was the best to beat Mittens.

I hope Santorum realizes how stupid he was wasting all those days in Puerto Rico!!!

I'm a realist and sadly I think we have Mittens vs. Saul Alinsky Jr.

We really need to take back the party from the Roves, Drudges, Fox News talking heads, ect...

I don't regret voting for Santorum, I will always choose conservatism over settling...
