With a strong democratic tradition and an equally strong history of confidence in our institutions, the American people on both the right and the left have long believed with absolute confidence that the United States is immune to the kind of threat to stability that has rocked and is currently rocking the Middle East in countries like Egypt Bahrain and Yemen.
This is no longer true.
The United States today is a country that lacks fiscal stability, political stability, and economic stability.
It is clear, with the tens of thousands of public employees that have descended on Wisconsins Capitol Hill to protest Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's proposal to limit union bargaining following a week during which 14 Democratic State Senators fled the state and went into hiding to deprive the Senate of a quorum and Madison Wisconsins schools were forced to close due to a district-wide teachers union sick outthat the legislative process is breaking down.
Put simply, the Midwest has effectively become our Middle East...

Indeed. Richard Trumka was part of the Arab SpringFlingaDingDong. And each and every Muslim, just as each and every union member, will be faced with the question: Whose side are you on?
The police, firefighters, teachers and government workers have gone parasitic against the people of Wisconsin..
They are worried that Wisconsin will no longer be their cookie jar.. their prey.. a cadaver for feeding..
They are worried that the State may go “right to work”..
They are drones fighting for “the HIVE”...
Political insects.. automatons.. you know democrats...
Their behavior is bewildering.

Thugish community organizing at it’s best. At some point, their tactics of intimidation by mob are going to be met with equal and opposite force. Pictures of SEIU muscle yelling at grey haired patriots coming up.
I don’t think “bi-partisan” efforts are ever going to fix what is wrong in this country.
We have international elitists (institutional, political -
both parties - and business) who basically disrespect Americans , our culture and who hate our country’s foundation. They have no loyalty and no integrity. That includes the unions. They have ripped apart our social and economic fabric and created a monster. Socialism is illegal under the constitution and it’s amoral humanist diversity tribal culture does not support the design of America’s ethics, integrity, freedom and independence. Our culture, born out of living the constitution’s ideology, is why we used to be peaceful and prosperous.
Will the Left use this as an opportunity to create their revolution? Yes, that is why they have worked so hard to culturaly cleanse, hurt and tear apart everything that was good and strong in this country so they could have their Marxist revolution.
I don’t know if they will get away with it, but they have a marxist in the White House to help.
This article is over a year old. Why post it now?
Because the article isn’t a year old, if you go to the link, it was just posted 12 hrs. ago.
“I dont think bi-partisan efforts are ever going to fix what is wrong in this country.”
I have always preached on FR that co-existence with liberals will never achieve anything. They are the ones who have to “go” as each day they plan to destroy the country..

It is now 2012.
Do they REALLY want to have this fight? Govt unions against the rest of America?
Hey folks. Take this with a piece grain of salt. Doug Schoen is actively trying to inject a third party candidate to cause a Ross Perot effect this election. His #1 choice for a candidate? Jon Huntsman. There may be an agenda here to spin things.
I agree. I live in Wisconsin and the liberal left shouts louder because they have the union support and the liberal press, but most of the Wisconsinites I know are quiet conservatives, who roll their eyes at the teachers with their undies in a bundle and just let them rant.
Am I wrong, did’nt we have laws against government employees having unions? Then we allowed unions, but they had a no strike clause?
Then came unionized garbage strikes, then unionized teachers strikes etc.
Am I wrong, didnt we have laws against government employees having unions? ....Kennedy signed on to the law establishing public sector unions but I don’t know about strike prohibitions. Probably for “Critical” jobs, which is why Regan fired the Air Traffic Controllers.
Undone by a single Executive Order by JFK.
They’ve been doing this in NJ for decades, driving the state into economic ruin. Now cities have laid off 1/3 of their police forces; it is time to pay the piper. Our class sizes will be 50 children, but it has becme clear that this is what we can afford when teachers working 180 days per year, 6.5 hours per day, earn $80K at age 40. Another result is that our roads rival those of Namibia; there is no money left for any maintenance.
America is in decline, and the “us vs. them” sentiments fired up by the left are much to blame. The virtue of opportunity for self-improvement and prosperity has given way to the narcotic of government largesse.
Events will get uglier before they ever get better. In Wisconsin, the factions benefiting most from the status quo of that government-benefit narcotic — the public sector unions — may turn to open violence if their last hope of overturning last year`s state budget laws, i.e., the recall of Gov. Walker, fails.
The thugs know Alinsky`s tactics well and will use them to their dying breath. They`ve called the shots in the Rust Belt states and will not give up power easily.
