Polish fighter jets arrived in Israel this week for joint training with the Israel Air Force in the Negev.
The Polish dispatched a number of F-16 fighter jets which have been holding maneuvers alongside IAF F-16 and F-15s. The maneuvers are based in the Uvda Air Force Base near Eilat. "We learn from one another and it helps us learn from the Poles, how they fly and their doctrines," a senior IAF officer said Wednesday.
Gen. Broni Lech Majewski, commander of the Polish Air Force, arrived in Israel on Monday to oversee the drill.
This is the first time that the Israel and Polish air forces are holding joint maneuvers. Israeli F-15s flew in Poland in 2003 when a trio of aircraft flew over Auschwitz.

Is this going to involve a mission to The Sun?
Learn this...Never leave an enemy alive on the field of battle!!! Negotiate only from strength and trust no one from the other side.
What a duo to marvel. My two very favorite foreign countries! Good and decent, truly. Having been trampled underfoot by real jackbooted thugs, they stand together under God staring Evil down and saying, NEVER AGAIN, baby. What a team.
God be with them, and us.
I am in total agreement
Ping!
Thanks U-238. This will come in handy in thirty years, when the Poles redeem the Polish territory stolen by Stalin.
Thank you, U-2. I have thought in those quiet moments, between despair and joy restored, that it was thinking of the courage of ISRAEL and POLAND that snap me out of it.
I actually daydreamed of contacting those in Poland who could be familiar with Lech Walensa, on how they threw off communism, believing that the sooner we here organize the safer and easier things will go for all. Chamberlain’s error was costly.
That is very interesting indeed.
Be careful about that, then the Germans will demand the return of the lands given to Poland from Germany. Best to let sleeping dogs lie.
Polish airmen who escaped from Poland in 1939 flew for the RAF in WWII as fighter pilots. They formed the 303 Squadron, which was the most successful of all RAF units in shooting down German bombers, and made a major contribution to the RAF’s victory in the Battle of Britain in 1940.
After the war, the Brits refused to let them march in the Victory Parade of 1946, in deference to their buddy Joe Stalin.
OMG. I never knew that! Can’t get over hearing it. Thank you! I love reading WW II books, but, I love that story and had not come across it, yet. Thank you very much, Mike

Fantastic depiction! I don’t recall this scene in a movie-maybe there’s one WW II movie out there I actually missed! I recorded the Battle of Britain series on the military channel and the Hitler rise and fall series.
A fun watch and some of us needed the boost. ;) Thank you.
There is a book on this subject, “A Question of Honor. The Kosciusko Squadron. Forgotten Heroes of World War II,” by Lynne Olson and Stanley Cloud, telling of the exploits of the Polish fliers and their experiences post-war.
There is a flick on this if I recall. Is this the one where a squadron leader fighter pilot is szcreaming over his radio “speak English” “speak English” because the guys in the Spitfires are busy jabbering in Polish ?
