Where two or more are gathered...
He IS on this thread. He IS listening to His children... How He chooses to answer remains to be seen.
I didn’t always say “Yes!” to my kids... I just pray that we DO get a Godly man in office, along with Congress..
The baby killing, among SO MANY other things that go against His word MUST stop.
Thanks for adding your prayers!
But why does He need our prayers, if he is all-knowing?
Need or want? He is God Almighty... I’m thinking “need” is the wrong way to be looking at this.
Lord God...thank you for being with us yet another day. This election turned out the way some wanted and not so good for others. We place our trust that You will ALWAYS be here for us, that you will give us the strength needed in whatever is coming our way. I don’t know who’s going to be our next President but I do pray that his heart is opened to you. Yes, even if it’s Obama, that he seeks YOU in all he does.
Thank you for such wonderful prayer warriors who DO pray to you .. daily .. hourly.
Thank you for offering us the gift of salvation...thank you for loving us, in spite of ourselves.
In Your Holy Name,
Amen
..it is a privilege
Jesus is interceding to the Heavenly Father on our behalf.
fail
prayers up for real hope and change.
Our nation is in desperate need of prayer. Here's the end of something I posted on a discussion of political activism over on the Orthodox Presbyterian listserve:
_____
(SNIP)
This thread is entitled “repentance to heal the nation.” We can debate what national repentance means, and that's a legitimate point.
However, the fact is that we have killed more babies in America than Hitler killed Jews, and our national tolerance for homosexuality is greater than that of Germany by the late 1930s. It is very inconsistent for us as Americans to condemn Germans for doing nothing to stop the Holocaust when we ourselves, as Americans, have more blood on our hands.
God will judge our nation for our actions and our inaction. I don't think we have good reason to believe our nation will fare well in that judgment if it does not change its course, and do so quickly.
